I had my Canadian build in queue and was looking at 10 weeks lead time when I got a call today on a 2025 demo that was available with 2900km and a $12200 discount so I said yes! I just hope there isn’t any difference between a 2025 and a 2026. I don’t think so although there have been rumours something was in the works affecting the wait times. I was told it’s just the tariffs.

James, congrats on your new Cybertruck! I didn’t have a good experience with the demo Cybertruck I originally purchased. I wouldn’t recommend buying a demo. Within 2 hours of picking it up from the delivery location I had power issues and they had to replace the entire HV battery. That being said they were so cool about fixing it under warranty, but I felt more comfortable requesting a new new one and paying a little extra. The Tesla team was great about everything. I love my Cybertruck-and it’s the only truck I would ever drive. The tech is second to none.

What’s the first thing that a person does test driving a Tesla? You guessed it, pedal to the metal to experience the incredible acceleration.

Well we shall see what happens! I wanted to get one as soon as possible to play in all this snow!
I’ve never bought a demo before so hopefully it doesn’t blow up.

Not many people did that I don't think. Whenever I get in a new car, it'd take me at least 15 minutes to get comfy with the way it drives. I was so timid on my CT demo. A granny probably drives faster than I did.

I bought my Cyberbeast new at the end of June 25 and it was a June build, so it's from around the same time. No issues whatsoever and the fit and finish have been great. I would totally buy a demo like you did, and almost did now that I think about it, but the discount at the time was only a few thousand and it was quite a bit older, so I went with new.

For $12k less, totally worth it.

Spent over an hour in the Tesla back parking lot getting used to it. Then a day driving on chill.

I can not see Tesla doing anything to upgrade Cybertruck, as its not moving much volume, and its already a good value for cost. The problem with Cybertruck is the high cost. The rear drive cheaped down model barely sold. I think Cybertruck is what it is, until a meaningful DBE breakthrough allows them to make cheaper, more energy dense battery packs.

I agree that there is not a lot of options to lower the MSRP of the Cybertruck.

Maybe a lower cost battery pack and bring back the RWD trim at a lower price point. Tesla is not going to yank SBW, RWS or the SS exterior panels that help differentiate the Cybertruck from the competition.
