Based on another thread thought it would be interesting to get an idea of what people have done or plan to do to their trucks when it comes to wrapping

I absolutely love the stainless and don’t really want to wrap it but decided to go with satin black from Tesla since I needed to spend the voucher

I just leave it alone. It's an iconic design combined with a unique finish that's the easiest to clean vehicle I've ever owned.

That said, I appreciate the opportunity Cybertruck creates for easy customization/expressing individual freedom.

Don't own, will leave naked at first, wrap depends on how easily/cheaply I can DIY PPF. Gonna give people some more time to test the waters.

Wrapped. I thought I would miss the stainless because I really like the look. But trying to keep it looking freshly clean was next to impossible. When I wash the wrap, it looks like it's fresh off the showroom floor which is very satisfying. It's also very easy to clean so no elbow grease required. Of course, depending on your wrap choice, you may feel it's a little more "yours". But I still appreciate when I see my CT brothers and sisters driving by with the stainless.

Mine lives outside in the sun and rain 24/7, and I've never had a vehicle this easy to keep looking great. It even looks good dirty, after I go on muddy/dusty roads and splash through mud puddles. When it finally starts to lose it's shine, from getting too much grime built up over time, I just wash it with a bucket of soapy water and long-handled truck washing brush and it looks bright again. If it gets bug spots, bird poop, or other stains I've been using either Sprayway glass cleaner or a non-abrasive version of Barkeepers friend in a pump spray bottle to spot clean (depending upon the severity of the stain).

The nice thing is I never have to worry about damaging a fragile clearcoat or having to re-paint or re-wrap. It's good for life.

Truck feels oddly naked when it's unwrapped. Plus, fingerprints, so wrapped it is.

if it’s not on YouTube, it’s probably not wrapped
That's so true!

Well, plenty of exceptions, but it does seem like the desire to stand out and differentiate on YouTube channels is what's driving a lot of covering up that beautiful metal with plastic wrap.

I guess it's not as sad as it seems because eventually the wrap will get beat up and worn out, and have to be peeled off to reveal the gleaming metal again. I wonder if it gets more difficult to remove the longer it's been on there? I would think UV rays would make it weaker and easier to tear, when trying to peel it off.

Can't stand the fingerprints. I am getting it sprayed with a liquid PPF on Monday.

I wrapped mine. The stainless is a PAin in the ass to keep clean! my neighbor would walk over and put his hand against it and talk and I would cringe !! Even with spray say it was a pain for me. I’m kind of ocd about keeping my cars clean. Guess that’s from working at a detail shop when I was younger
I did mine gloss white PPF and it completely transformed the look for me. It just pops so nicely! At the very least get clear over it. I would post a photo but it doesn’t seem like anyone is in here

Absolutely does. I’ve seen some YouTube’s of some bad ones. But the guys who know how to do it seem to be able to get it done with a heat gun or hot water pretty well
