Tesla: "To maintain service life, the battery pack should be stored at a state of charge (SOC) of 15 to 50%."

That looks kinda sloppy. You only need one conduit going to the gateway and one conduit going to the connector.

I think it depends on how many circuits.

They quoted me $5100 ?we’ll see when I get the bill from Qmerit
So far my experience was not so good at first. First quote was $59XX. I denied the first quote. Second quote, electrician contacted me to come out and get further details as there was a slight complexity he had to verify. He said it would be a few dollars less than $4k. I got the quote from qmerit for $4160. So I’m guessing that qmerits overhead on this is about $170, or the electrician was mistaken on his first verbal quote. I went ahead and accepted since it was close enough to what tesla credit is covering. Electrician is waiting on parts.

Agree Connector only needs one due to use of high voltage insulation on communication wires.

Regarding panel connections, NEC does not allow fused and unfused (service) conductors in the same conduit, so if that were a full panel backup (which it isn't), it would require two.
Gateway knockouts are 3/4, so they likely went that size versus drilling out the case and dealing with bending larger conduit.
However, that would be a little sus since 3/4 EMT only holds two #4 THHN, so did they run 6 AWG? If so, the UWC charging along with (up to) 48A of loads would overload the circuit...

@Ironalley, would you mind sharing photos of the main panel and Gateway breakers?

Side note: that Tesla image has three conduits leaving the Gateway. Third controls the backup switch.

Got my quote today… circa 5,600$. They will deduct the 4k credit(beast) leaving me with 1,600k out of pocket.. The additional 2,500k for FS series I can use for the gateway equipment. I am in S Florida.

I'm just not going to pay $6000 for an install. Our utilities are buried in my neighborhood and we rarely lose power. Plus there are cheaper options to have the truck power the home if I want to later. I'll take the $2500 credit, but some cool stuff and use that $6k for a killer wrap.

$2,500 for all Foundation for Gateway and Wall Connector. $4k with Beast toward installation. Guessing the $5,600 already had GW and UWC removed.

They installed a 100 amp breaker for the gateway and left my old breakers in place and made spares out of them.
