I am perplexed about this PowerShare order/installation process so I thought I'd post my timeline to see if this is "normal" or if something is out of whack.

I ordered my Cyberbeast in December 2023.

On January 4th 2024 I received the following email:
Tesla Cybertruck PowerShare Ordering Process - Is this Normal? PowerYourHome-1-4-24

So I clicked on the Take Survey button and filled everything out and submitted.

Then 3-1/2 weeks later I received the following email:

Tesla Cybertruck PowerShare Ordering Process - Is this Normal? PowerShare-1-29-24

That was the last thing I heard from Tesla.

My VIN was assigned in April
I took Delivery on May 4th

Another local owner who took delivery a week before me (AWD not Beast) has already received his PowerShare equipment and the local Tesla certified installer came out and gave him an estimate for installation.

I called that same installer and asked them if they would come do a site visit for me. Although they had not yet been contacted by Tesla to call me and arrange a site visit they were happy to come do one and did that late last week. I should have their installation estimate in hand tomorrow. They cannot do anything though until they hear from Tesla, and until I have the equipment.

I am coming up on 2 months since I took delivery and over 2 months since receiving a VIN, and I have still not heard from anyone at Tesla about how to get the equipment or how/when to have the installer come out for a site visit (which I've already done in order to try and speed up the process once Tesla actually contacts them or myself)

Is this "Normal"? Did others get approved from the survey and then have to wait 5 months or more to hear anything? I did place a call to Tesla's 1-800 support phone number last week and a woman there looked up my VIN and said that some guy whose name I don't remember was handling getting my equipment and that she would ask him to reach out to me within two days. Haven't heard from her or him. Tomorrow will be 1 week since that call.

Thanks in advance!

Then you get one email from QMerit which often goes into SPAM. They ask for bunch of information, where is electric panel etc etc etc , ask to upload bunch of pictures, then they revert saying they subcontracted the work to XYZ vendor/installer, that vendor sends couple of texts and provides a quote back to QMerit. QMerit sends email to you with a quote & inform Tesla about status.

Tesla sends you 2500 $ voucher in email

You accept quote and purchase equipment powershare & charger for 2500 $.
You reject quote and purchase whatever you want from tesla shop. (not no alcohol & gift cards).

BTW did I say that the whole shop is out of stock ... :p .. come join the waiting room with a dead voucher in your hand ...

In the same boat. I took delivery of my CyberBeast May 10th in Raleigh, NC. The dealership said I should be contacted in 2 weeks about my PowerShare install. I contacted someone at the dealership after the 3rd week. This is what they texted-

“Good Morning. So I spoke to my manager yesterday and he informed me that it’s just like the Cybertruck order for the powershare. It’s a list that they are working their way down. So, they'll reach out to you when it’s your turn basically.”

Guess we have to wait ??‍♂

I just received another Survey for the PowerShare install. It was the same survey that I filled out in December. I was approved at the end of January. Anyone else received the survey twice? If so, were you approved again?

Same thing here. Approved in January, but just got it again. Odd.

Same, I just threatened to go to arbitration via their resolutions email 2 days ago. Today, I get yet another of the first survey asking about the power in my house and if I still want PowerShare. Maybe they are moving again, not sure. I have the CyberBeast for 3 months now in Florida.

Same. And my email very specifically stated the CyberBeast still gets the $4000 installation credit AND the hardware. And the survey very specifically stated that if I’m denied or deny PowerShare installation, that I would get the $2500 voucher.

I was approved for PowerShare in February.

PowerShare is a mess. Had my truck for over a month now and nothing. I think the problem now (there have been many) there are not many "certified" installers thus many of us are dead in the water.

Gave up on powershare for now. Install price is gouging, too many unknowns. Better hardware will be in the future, we don't ever loose power. I have extension cords.

I stand corrected, I did get the survey email again today and again filled out the survey for PowerShare which I was already approved for back in January.
