I have had my Cybertruck for over a year now and got PowerShare on my house (and then moved it to a house we just purchased). I will eventually put Solar on the roof (either a metal roof with panels or Tesla roof) but I am also looking at the Span panel to help manage loads during power outages (living in FL they are becoming more common). Does anyone have experience using the Span panel with just the PowerShare and then adding power walls and Solar later? I see they have just come out with the larger Span panels.

Glad to hear you're enjoying your Cybertruck and PowerShare setup! Using a Span panel with just PowerShare initially should work well for load management during outages, especially in Florida. The Span panel can control circuits directly, giving you flexibility to prioritize essential loads using your Cybertruck’s power. It integrates smoothly with PowerShare, though you’d need a Tesla Gateway for full functionality. Adding Powerwalls and solar later is totally doable—Span’s designed to adapt to battery and solar upgrades.

I asked Tesla about this when I got my powershare installed and they said their system has not been tested or rated with the Span Panel so I'm not sure they would hook it up.

Not sure what to make of this reply I received from SPAN support (below) when I asked them. It doesn't seem to say that they support PowerShare. Are you just saying that you can manually remove loads on the SPAN if you are down to PowerShare?

Hi Doug,

Thanks for contacting SPAN Support, I'm happy to help!

Today, we’ve not announced vehicle-to-grid or vehicle-to-home (V2x) bi-directional functionality. The SPAN system has been intentionally designed to enable the most intelligent home backup system, and we intend to continue building integrations and features for flexible home backup.

If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to reach back out.
Best,
Maite

Yes and many do. I am looking at one locally now. PowerShare using the power wall isn't supposed to be available until Q3 this year but we all know what Tesla estimates are like!
