Building a new house and want to integrate smart panel(s) into an overall design that cleanly works with Tesla Powershare and potentially the Powerwall. While both products work with Tesla and offer similar smart home features, Span.io seems to have more features and superior app control. Leviton is the 500 lbs Gorilla but isn't as innovative. Span.io is the new kid on the block and was designed from the ground up. If anyone has installed either, would love to get your thoughts on this thread or send me a DM. Would greatly appreciate someone who has already been down this rabbit hole ;-)

We are currently building and have been down this rabbit hole (and so many others with the house).

I'm going with the Siemens Inhab Controllable Breaker (Plug-On Neutral). They should be available this summer.

If you plan to use it with Home Assistant, Tesla Powershare and Span.io are solid bets. If you also want the option to use it without sending your data to the cloud, Span.io is the frontrunner.

Interesting - this one wasn't on my radar - did you also evaluate Span.io?

I did early on when I thought I may do a 400 amp service and they didn't support it at the time (they may now). I ended up not doing electric tankless so didn't need 400 amp service [using large electric tank with 5.5kW heater to play nice with my recirc system]. It seemed span.io was quite expense and you had to find an installer that would do it (cert/training?). I also didn't know if the electrician my builder was using installed them.
