This makes zero sense. If your door edges are sharp, they have a metal burr on them. It can be removed in 30 seconds with a 10 cent piece of emery cloth. That should be done before wrapping anyway.
- Safer on the skin, especially for guests/kids who are not so careful (if your door edges are sharp)
None of those things are permanent. Rust spots can be removed using the same techniques to remove rust spots on paint or a wrap, it's easy. Scuffs, scratches and discoloration can be easily sanded out so it looks like new again. This can be done an indefinite number of times with no consequence, unlike on a painted vehicle.
- The Cybertruck warranty won't cover scuffs, scratches, discoloration and rust spots. PPF will.
I'm not a fan of plastic film on any vehicle because it tends to look like what it is, plastic. On a Cybertruck it's particularly pointless to apply a fragile plastic film unless it's done simply to change the color temporarily (until it wears out and gets removed).
