Picked up my Cybertruck Long Range on Dec 31, 2024. I’m at 5,760 miles now and my rear tires are already down to 4/32”, while the fronts are still at 9/32”. This is with the 20” Core wheels and Pirelli Scorpion ATR all-seasons.

This is my 6th Tesla, and I’ve never seen tire wear like this. Even my Plaid — which I drove hard, launching from every light — got 9k miles out of its tires. This Cybertruck has been in Chill mode 100% of the time, only street driven, averaging 370 Wh/mi.

The truck has already spent a good amount of time at the service center for continuous suspension noises/issues and various cosmetic problems, so I’m starting to wonder if there’s an alignment or suspension geometry issue from the factory.

Has anyone else experienced this level of wear this quickly on the rears?

If so:
  • Did you find an alignment issue from delivery?
  • Did Tesla cover any of the replacement under warranty or goodwill?
Would really appreciate hearing other owners’ experiences before I push Tesla service on this.

I haven't seen wear like that, but also don't have those tires either.

FWIW, the car can sense now if the vehicle is way out of alignment, you will get an alert. I doubt this is alignment.

I had alignment warning pop up at 6,500 miles and it’s one of the few things Tesla has charged me for. Had an alignment done two weeks ago. I also have unusual tire wear. Truck was delivered 1 AUG 2024 and I have just under 7,000 miles.

Could be alignment, but also Long Range is rear wheel drive versus AWD for the other versions and Plaid.
How spirited is your driving?

Is it uneven wear across the tread? If it is, do you have pics? Did you get an alignment check? What pressures have you been running?
