Progress with 2026 Cybertruck containment hold.

Im basically worried about starting from square one given how long the waits are now for new orders. I keep telling myself how much longer can it really take

I had a “reject delivery” MY a few years ago due to paint issues. The Tesla rep was able to input another replacement order into the system. We had a fresh off the assembly line MY with a newer VIN within 3 weeks.

I ordered my pawd 3/28. It arrived at the delivery center 5/8. Was told for the next 10 days that it was awaiting PDI until I physically showed up and they admitted that there was a containment hold that my vin is affected by (948xx). Transfered to sc 5/22 and hv battery ordered same day. As of today, no news on parts allocating a battery for my truck. What’s jarring is how little visibility there is internally for a company that considers itself a tech company. Hoping for some good news in July…

Interesting fact, there are total of 9 searchable VIN for each 100 VIN range i.e. 94000-94100. Your VIN range of course have 9 Trucks. 8 out of 9 came back with zero history. Some boring stuff I did during my wait time lol. my range is 944xx so I am one of the 2 that show 0 history during search.

that is interesting. So worst case 51/90 have not been delivered in 94xxx (let’s assume all are due to Battery). Since there are some, though much fewer, reported 93xxx and 95xxx cases, you have to figure there are around 100 total trucks affected by the containment hold. Producing that number of replacement batteries within a month should be well within teslas capabilities

I did and am loving it. I asked about the containment hold and they said it was the terminal play/harness for the voltage battery.

Your pick up is not close enough to get impacted. I saw a Facebook group post the other day someone’s battery failed who picked up his truck in April. His VIN I believe was 93k.
