Recreational Harley riders (think Wild Hogs movie) were the 2024 first negatives I got, along with the skinny dudes in beater Camry's and Altimas.

I bet either of those groups would hate being associated on a common platform with each other, LOL.

Now the "Wild Hogs" don't seem to care.

Skinny dudes in Camry's and Altimas, eh, about the same.

BUT, Older guys in RAM, Ford, Chevy and some SUV's have made it an effort to roll down the windows and give THUMBS UP energetically. Like overnight. Also at stop lights yelling nice things. Such a strange world.

Many ? ? ? gave me the finger salutes and the thumbs down judgements all the time for years while driving my Rivians (I had 3 at one point, now all Teslas) I have become Teflon coated. These ? just slides right off...?

So what made you switch from rivian to tesla? Just curious. FSD? Supercharger network?
I was an early adapter of Rivian, IPO investor, unofficial brand ambassador and all. Over time, I realized all the sh*t they say about Tesla, what they wouldn't do or would happen to them, were all just lip services. Rivian suffers from poor quality control, inadequate service network, over priced services and products, cut corner materials, terrible body panel gaps, low morale at the service center, high personnel turn over, terrible suspension issues, loud wind noise, buggy techs that're 10 years behind Tesla,...You get the idea.

That was very informative. I’ve never owned a rivian. Test drove one once and then went home and felt better about having a model x.
Sounds like that was good judgment.

Any members from Pennsylvania in this forum?

Last Saturday in the Costco parking lot I was approached by two man, a dad and his son. Dad from PA, son a student at Stanford. They asked very politely if they could make a picture, and look in and around the truck. Son told me his dad really wanted to see one because “you don’t see these in PA”. I asked really, son said “dad tells me he hasn’t seen one at home”.
We talked how I like the truck, son liked it also, dad was not convinced he liked the shape.

Positive experience. But surprised about the claim of no CTs in PA. I didn’t ask which corner of PA he was from.

I’m in the Philly area (Delco). Funny you should say that because I was actually in the local Costco in my area and there were two others in the parking lot. I see them daily on I-95.

Had some entertainment the other day.

Pretty much every time I park I have one Sentry event like this. Families taking pictures with one or more kids (boys and girls).

Tesla is really the first brand of car that young girls seem really excited about. I'm guessing it's the choice of car from their favorite influencer.

PA here, just outside of Scranton. 3 CTs (including me) in the area. Lots of positive responses, questions and picture requests.

A patient’s husband was asking me all kinds of basic questions faster than I could answer them, so I simply handed him my phone and to go check it out. He had the cheesiest grin ? on his face. Made his day. Kinda mine too.

I also had his wife as collateral…

I keep forgetting about one of the funniest interaction I had with my CB.

I was at an academic outpost of one of my customers. That day it became apparent that there was a large group of Japanese men in business attire visiting with interpreters and led around by the Higher Ups at this site.

I was working in a lab and 2 groups of ~40 came in and out on tour. I just kept my head down and just did my work.

I was leaving and had to delay exiting thru the lobby because the visitors were there taking MASSIVE amounts of group pictures and kind of blocking the exit. I was patient and polite but as soon as there was an opening I jetted.

My CB just happened to be parked in the first space next to the door. I was trying to load up tools and parts fast to just get going, when the 80+ visitors exited.

And made a beeline straight to my truck.

I spent 30-45 min letting them play with the vault controls, sitting in, learning to open the doors, without understanding a word, just hand signals.

They were fascinated and I could tell the American handlers were getting really impatient with them not getting on the bus. One of the visitors did speak English well and asked my the price I paid. I respectfully just said, very expensive but will get cheaper in future. Didn't matter because I don't know when Japan would allow the Cybertruck in anyway.

It was hilarious, and you could tell they thought they were seeing something out of a futuristic anime. Completely gobsmacked.

I bet they remember the CyberBeast more than any of that boring tour they were on.

I’ve had my
Tesla Cybertruck Public REACTIONS to Your Cybertruck (and Your Reaction)? [Admin Warning: NO POLITICS] 1f4d0
for over a week and I’ve been flipped off 4 times, I got a double bird yesterday. Each time it happens I just ignore them and laugh on the inside. I know things will normalize in time, just gotta let the crazies be cray cray

How's everyone else fairing?

I've had it two weeks and got flipped off once that I noticed, after waving a guy to go first at a stop sign since he seemed in a hurry. Instead of going, he rolled his window down and flipped me off. At the time I laughed, because the absurdity of a nice gesture being outweighed by some brain functioning issues was too funny.

Overall I just don't look at people's faces or hands, so there might have been more people that I just didn't notice. I assume being unacknowledged is a form of torture for the performative virtue signalers.
