Tesla Cybertruck Questions and (verified) Answers Cybertruck Desert Front Right

The intent of this thread is to show what questions are still lingering out there that could possibly be answered before the Cybertruck's final reveal.

My hope is that this can be a repository for questions we have and ONLY verified answers. You should be able to peruse this post (I'll keep it updated with the answers that are verified and the date of the verification, so we'll know how old the info is.

Here are the questions:
Verified Answers in Blue, probable answers in Red

1. Air and Suspension
1.1 How long will it take to raise and lower suspension?
1.2 How good will the air compressor work?
1.3 Where will the connection be located? From Investor's Day 01 Mar 23, Lower left of inside bed.
1.4 Can air suspension pick up 1one wheel?
1.5 Will the CT have dynamic leveling? Front to back and side to side?
1.6 Will it kneel for boarding? (Make it easier to get in)
1.7 Will it be able to lower suspension when on jack stands to effectively pick up its own wheels?
1.8 Will it have a “trailer hitching” mode to lower itself under the hitch and then raise so you can fold up the trailer jack?
1.9 Will it use the same pucks as the model Y for jacking it up?
1.10 Will there be an auto tire inflation feature?
1.11 Will the suspension be able to let the CT lean into corners?

2. Doors
2.1 How will the doors identify me to open? (How about my passenger vs. some rando walking by?)

3. Electricity
3.1 How big is the largest battery size?
3.2 Is there going to be a 12V “low side” battery or will Tesla go with something better? Investor's Day 01 Mar 23 said CT will use a 48v architecture.
3.3 Will it be lead acid or Lithium Ion? From Investor's Day 01 Mar 23, it will be Lithium Ion and be "lifelong".
3.4 Will the CT support V2G, V2V? (Not counting using an extension cord in the bed to connect 240v)
3.5 Will my V3 wall connector work without an adapter?
3.6 Will there be a solar vault cover offered at launch?
3.7 How many KwH could be generated while I’m at work for 8 ½ hours?
3.8 Will the solar vault cover charge underway?

4. Steering
4.1 Will there be variable rate steer by wire?
4.2 What’s the turning diameter?
4.3 Will 4-wheel steering operate at speed? Crabbing for lane changes, for instance
4.4 Will there be an extreme mobility mode where slight steering input results in lock-to-lock steering (like very low speed maneuvering or rock climbing or rocking it out of deep mud)
4.5 How far can the rear wheels turn? As a wild example, if all wheels could turn 90 degrees, you could basically spin around your trailer with its axle as your center point… like extreme U-turn! Anyway, the more the rears can turn, the more useful the feature.

5. Big Ass Wiper
5.1 What’s up with the Big Ass Wiper

6. General Questions
6.1 Range? Efficiency? Price? Yeah… all the basics fit here…
6.2 Is the upper blade light still happening? Yes. Per Matthew Donegan-Ryan
6.3 Will there be a biodefense mode?
Probably. It is available (maybe standard) in all models. (unverified)
6.4 Will it distill water? I remember this from LOOOOONG ago.
6.5 Will the CT connect via 3G, 4G, 5G, or Starlink?

7. Interior Questions
7.1 Will there be rear air controls? Don’t need the kids asking me to make constant changes…
7.2 Will all 6 seats be heated?
7.3 Will there be a display above the yoke in addition to the center one?

8. External Questions
8.1 How will the Frunk open? Investor's Day 01 Mar 23, it LOOKS like it'll open like the Lightning. But, according to Matthew Donegan-Ryan on Twitter, it will not open like the F-150.
8.2 How big will the frunk be?
8.3 Will the frunk be powered?
8.4 Will the frunk be insulated like a cooler?
8.5 Will the frunk have a drain plug?
8.6 How will the under-bed storage open?
8.7 Will the under-bed storage location be watertight?
8.8 How big will the under-bed storage location be?
8.9 Will it be lockable separate of the vault cover? (It's locked when the cover is open)
8.10 How will the vault be climate controlled?
8.11 Will the rear window drop? Yes. Per Matthew Donegan-Ryan
8.12 Will the rear window “roll down” in lieu of a mid-gate? Yes. Per Matthew Donegan-Ryan
8.13 Will there be sail pillar storage?
8.14 How big will that sail pillar storage be?
8.15 What kind of vault lighting will there be?
8.16 Will the CT have retractable running boards?
8.17 Will there be an undercarriage camera? Good for off road fun and clearance checks… From Investor's Day 01 Mar 23, there appears to be a camera by the front license plate.
8.18 How long (and wide) is the vault? From Investor's Day 01 Mar 23, someone heard 6'x4' but, per Matthew Donegan-Ryan, it is 6'1" x 4'1".
8.19 Will the tailgate open parallel to the ground and stop securely there? How much weight will it support?
8.20 How strong is the ramp? I don’t want to bend it walking up it… LOL
8.21 Will the tailgate be assisted like most are these days? From Investor's Day 01 Mar 23, the tailgate had cables like most tailgates but we don't know if it will be assisted. There IS a button on the left siderail that looks to be how you will open the tailgate.
8.22 Will the floor of the vault be stainless steel, composite, or other? From Investor's Day 01 Mar 23, the floor does NOT look to be stainless steel.
8.23 Will the CT have active noise cancellation?
8.24 What are the overall dimensions?
8.25 Will there be forward located hard-points for front mounting of things like a winch, snowplow, antelope annihilator, bully bar, cow catcher, deer destroyer, moose mover, etc.? From Investor's Day 01 Mar 2023, there seems to be a removeable panel for either a license plate or winch area.
8.26 Will there be wiring locations or access for easy connection of such devices?
8.27 Will there be a mid-gate? From Investor's Day 01 Mar 23, it does not look like it will have a mid-gate. Keeping this as unconfirmed as this could change if this prototype just skipped that feature for some reason.
8.28 This wasn't a question but I'm sure some were wondering. The CT has a T-Rail style cargo management system down along each bedside near the top and flush D-Rings at the bottom corners in the back.

You've reached the bottom of the list. I hope you liked the questions and will help me keep this post updated!

6.3 bio weapon defence mode is in all new models currently.
6.4 Not distillation but condensation, it does seem like a dangerous recipe for legionnaires disease but I’m sure the engineers could filter that out.
6.5 3G is almost obsolete, in vehicle starlink might be available to all Tesla vehicles when the model 2/robotaxi is launched.

Very difficult question in the maintenance cycle of a car. I wonder if having run-dry and heat cycles in a smaller sytem might be feasible to destroy relevant pathogens...

Tough to test in a reasonable way something to be replicated on the scale of millions of units and be confident.

These pathogens are in the air. The problem could be solved with the HEPA filter, a hermetically sealed condenser and UV sterilisation of the storage tank.
A maintenance schedule could be integrated in the the infotainment system.

You can't hermetically seal something you want water to drip into. You can't use a micro filter except under pressure. And UV degrades cleaners, too, leading to dead areas... and it can feed some bacteria.

Every solution has its problem.

Isn't there a CT wiki each user can add their own answers and predictions to? Would make it simple to collate and moderate.

There is a Wiki page that has some good info. However, it doesn't set out to answer specific questions. The questions we have as a community may not make it to the level that casual observers would care to know and the answers may already be out there but just not reported. I thought it would be nice to jot down the questions I had (and that others contribute) and record the answers as they come available so that others with the same curiosity level could check them out.

Ok fair enough. I was just thinking it's a bit of work to collate it.

What counts as verified or not? Would enough third party evidence count, or would it have to be officially from Tesla/EM? Or can I just provide unverified answers? I think a lot of them can be answered already with some deductive/inductive/reductive/abductive reasoning?

I think a qualified source would be the best way to go. I would like to avoid the "I've seen this a couple of places so it must be true" kind of thing. Saying that, there are some sources I'd trust:
-- Any Tesla call - Stockowners, battery day, AI Day, Reveals, GigaFest, etc.
-- A Tweet from Elon
-- Photographic evidence (hopefully nobody stoops to photoshopping images... unless they are funny)
-- Court filings, County/State/City approvals
-- Joe Tegtmeyer (he's good at identifying things that are unofficial in his videos)
--There are probably others but "I'll know it when I see it". LOL

Ok so what I post, regardless of how good it sounds, wouldn't even be a unverified answer?

Unverified is easy. I'm going to track definitive answers. Feel free to guess away.
