This was great. Few key points:

1. Franz said a truck needs to have a bed in the back, and seating up front for 4, 5, or 6 people.
2. He reiterated that it's "slightly" smaller.
3. It will best all other EV Trucks in range (said with smile).
4. He clearly loved the idea of pushing performance. When questioned if you need to, basically answered that humanity loves to, and that's reason enough.

I think we'll be quite happy.

Me too! That was the big one for me. The best out there now are 300 miles, with Rivian claiming 390 this fall. This tells me Tesla will confidently be better. It's the biggest issue for me I want(need?) north of 400miles for Canadian winters as my main vehicle.

His other answers were great too. I think seat#6 is very much still on the table, and I just love hearing designers pursuing performance for the sake of "because we can". It's the human spirit. Love it!

Franz von Holzhausen is the chief designer and creative director of Tesla and has been an employee for 15 years. He has designed the Model S, which was the first game-changing electric vehicle and the first software-defined vehicle. He believes that Tesla has created a blank canvas for customers to do what they want with their cars, and he appreciates seeing personalized and wrapped Teslas. The hosts also ask Franz von Holzhausen if he is sick of looking at his own cars because of how ubiquitous they are in California where he lives, but he says that he appreciates seeing them and that he thought it would be amazing if there were more Teslas on the road than Priuses.
