Wasn’t it always $2000? I was one of the rare people who wasn’t able to reserve it because they turned it off for some reason in July when I ordered and took delivery.

I think I reserved it for $1000 (maybe even $500?) back in April/May

It's been $2000 for non-foundation the entire time. It has doubled in price twice over the last year.

Hey there, I paid 500.00 back in February for the pre order. First I've heard it was more. Either way, owners are just pre loading what will be same price OTD.

I reserved for the range extender in February for $500 ($1500 total for that and Cybertruck Foundation AWD prepay). I received the truck in May.

What is interesting to me is that they are still offering it… there has been speculation that it would never come about.

After driving 320 miles (~5 hours), my butt needs a rest and now me plus family are fine not having 500 miles of range. From a driving straight through point of view.

I would buy if I could lose the bed space. My range anxiety is off the charts with EVs. It's all in my head. I had to stop at supercharger and by the top kids had gotten lunch we had been ready to go for 5 minutes. But still....I would love more range.

From the Order page=
$16,000 Est.
Increase range to 445+ mi (est).
Production planned to begin in mid 2025.
Non-refundable reservation deposit.
Requires installation at a Tesla service center.
Seems like there are no firm commitments from the seller here as to the price, the range, or the availability date. It's also not clear whether installation is included in the price.

Yet they apparently expect the buyer to make a firm commitment, with a $2,000 non-refundable deposit. Does this mean that anyone placing that deposit is committed to purchase whatever Tesla delivers -- regardless of the final price, specifications, delivery date, or installation fee?

Maybe.

the 16k is estimated.

It already has less range than the original. I suppose that's because the Non-FS has less range than the FS.

Also, I saw it moved from early 2025 to mid-2025. Knowing Tesla, mid-2025 means December release and rollout in 2026.
