Rattle noise in the dash

I figured out the rattle noise is in the dash and I can duplicate it by tapping on the top left. I’m at the SC now and tested a Cyberbeast model. It didn’t have the same rattle noise when I tap the top left of the dash. So the person who posted the broken vent change out probably had the same noise. Anybody else hear the rattle by tapping?

I hear it and haven't gotten the service center to fix it. They couldn't replicate it, but it will certainly be a part of my next visit. Curious to hear the outcome.

Just tap on the drivers side dash and listen for the rattle. Then when you are there tap it in front of them.

Oh I can replicate and explained how to them... they 'couldn't.'

I had this issue, they changed the hvac wave guides and it fixed it.
I used to get the rattle real bad on rough or dirt roads.

I sat with the tech in the truck and tapped the dash and drove over some road reflectors and was able to replicate the sound for them.

I had this. Turned out that replacing the airwave module fixed the rattle. But....took me like 4-5 visits. They ruined the dash pad, caused another rattle, ruined the new dash pad also, etc..

Makes me think it might not be worth it to get it fixed.

Doesn't mean it will happen to you.

I couldn't live with the rattle though. It was very annoying. If I had to do it again, I would.
