* Technically it is a "gas" tank, as it's a pressure vessel for the air suspension

I would think its the air tank for the suspension. The pump that fills it runs at a lessor capacity than what it actually uses to run the suspension up or down.

It is the air supply tank for air suspension

That's the gas tank, obviously. Technically correct since air is a gas.
