Rear turning lockup error after going over 38 MPH. "Rear Axle Steering Disabled"

Happened the first day I owned it, and was able to get it in two weeks later. Sounds like they are still looking for a solution, and will keep it until next week... Any one else have this happen? Resets as soon as I step out of the car.

Fixed by replacing "rear steering gear." Only in the shop from Thursday to Wednesday. Scary to think a new part would have issues this quickly.

Fixed by replacing "rear steering gear." Only in the shop from Thursday to Wednesday. Scary to think a new part would have issues this quickly.

Manufacturing or assembly defects can show up really quick, but still make it through burn-in. One misplaced fragment of metal or mistorqued bolt and instead of going 100000 miles it goes 100 and kerput.

This is early days as they're learning those edge cases.
