Anyone have their CT recall completed. I have an appt next Wednesday and wondered how long to repair the panel re-gluing.. I have a two hour drive to get to service and will have a dog home to wait.

They won’t be reglued. They’ll be replaced. Chances are you’ll be without it for a while while they order parts. I took mine in 2 weeks ago for a tailgate delaminating and they had to wait 2-3 days for a new tailgate to come in and that one arrived damaged so I waited another week.

Probably they will cancel my appointment. I don’t think they are prepared for the recall. Tesla just can’t get their sh*t together.
I would confirm with them that they have the replacement parts on hand before going. I had my windshield replaced and had to keep pushing my appointment out when they confirmed they didn’t have the windshield in hand. Once they did have it there then I had it replaced in one day. No sense in leaving your truck there if they don’t have the parts.

I would be sure they have the panels in question before you go, OP.

I had a cantrail replacement and they did not have my “parts” in stock when I got there, and my appointment had been made 3wks in advance. Luckily I only had a 20 min drive, not a 2hr.

It’s a challenge to speak to anyone at Tesla since they refuse to answer their phone!

Man, I know exactly what you mean! I had to dial *67 before calling because the system recognizes my number and puts me in a loop of- use your app or use FAQ but no humans allowed. My SC is amazing (Franklin TN) but the phone system is created to deny access.

Also, bring some extra Monster drinks and donuts when you drop your car off. The Tesla folks go through a lot of crap these days.

My cantrail replacement was done in March and the service invoice shows time in of 9:20 am and a time out of 11:30 am.

Maybe I missed this recall, but they are replacing them? So if im wrapped, I have to rewrap whatever is replaced?

I have had my yuck in for numerous repairs the first year and every one of them Tesla took really good care of me. Either repairs that day or a loaner. Better service than I can say from my local GMC dealer.

Question. I’m very curious to see if the people that have had the recall fixed were happy with the results. I refused the delivery of a truck whose recall was just done, because the panels were misaligned to the point where I couldn’t believe they wanted me to take the truck. I attached just two pictures. I was matched with another order and I’m waiting for delivery from the factory, built after the need for recalls to be done at the service centers. Fingers crossed that this one comes in looking good.

Yeah, the fact they don’t track that parts are in-hand prior to the appointment is ridiculous.

Luckily, I scheduled my cantrail recall for a few weeks ago and my service advisor sent me a message in app letting me know parts weren’t scheduled until June and he rescheduled me for June 2.

That said, I’m in no rush to have them replaced since mine have been fine (built Nov 15, 2024), and I’ve been seeing pics of poorly replaced contrails.
