Removed sun visors and rear view mirror

For some reason I never use visor even when the sun is directly in my eyes, sunglasses are good enough for me ?‍

Was it easy to remover the mirror base? I would remove the mirror but not the visors.

Incredibly easy. 3 min and a torx screw driver. It was clearly designed to be removed, thus its dinky nature to just meet the requirement.

I spoke to the tech who fixed my overhead control console detaching and he said it was caused by misalignment of the mounting base frame adjustment of which required removing entire passenger side trim all the way back to the rear seat; he said it was pretty time consuming correction and no glue or rivets

I'll have to give it a closer look. Everything seems to line up but there are just little tinny tabs holding it on. Once it happens I think it is getting worse or easier to come off. The magnets are strong witch is good but the control console moves and flexes anytime you move the visors. Not sure I'd want to risk someone having to take that much apart for fear of breaking or scuffing up something else.

I was really annoyed at how the ct has this beautiful ginormous windshield but the sun visors obscure it when not used, and I never even use them. Tried to remove them myself, following the manual. But after breaking a fair plastic clip, I paid to get them removed by a pro shop, and also the rear view mirror which was also useless.

i use the visors every time i drive unless its after sunrise and before sunset .. you may regret this decision

For what it’s worth, the couple times I sat in one at the showroom the sun visors did seem to impede my vision more than I’d like, so it’s cool to see this is an option. It will probably come down to how annoying I find it on a regular basis. How much did it cost to have a shops remove the visors and rear view?

I’d love a DIY video to remove the visors. I am getting a 50% tint on the front and hate how they don’t fold to the side like the x. Would rather remove them.

I like it a lot. I'm definitively removing as well as I'm tinting the entire truck. I would also love to remove the side mirrors but not sure if is legal in Florida.
