This video is interesting, is so quick, I had to stop the frame several times to understand the parts.
Looks like it is super-easy to repair and allows all kinds of electrical and mechanical mods, everything is nicely exposed...

I wonder what is the function of that rectangular void in the tailgate? Looks intentional. Thoughts?

That rectangular void in the tailgate will be used to smuggle drugs and small arms across our borders ?

Possibly just weight reduction and/or no need extra rigidity in that location? Given there are wire-looms going through it might even be intentional for ease of build/installing parts?

Either way there is a surprising amount of spot wields and separate parts for the tailgate.

For comparison, F150 tailgate.

That's where the retractable tonneau-style tailgate ramp will rest when they offer it on the non-FS versions. ?

This makes me wonder how much attention I'm gonna get from CBP crossing the Mexico border. I doubt the current xrays/systems are well designed for stainless steel vehicles.

Secret stash for emergency double D batteries? ?
Little late for that, they already revealed the Double D's hours after the big Reveal.

Or were those the larger cells we've been waiting for?

Those are way bigger than D's... even dwarf 4680s! When will more of this massively awesome technology be revealed!!!?!??!
But did you notice my boots and cowboy hat I purchased for the trip. Little did I know that Austin is not a cowboy town.

The "Cyber Girls" were handing out nice 3 D printed cybertrucks. Heck for all I know, they could be 3DDD printed too.

I think that void could also be used for aftermarket rear camera washer/reservoir installation

One of these on the inside of wall of gate. Black to keep low key. Needs to be recessed so as not to catch on items pushed into bed via tailgate.

I can't remember if you got a Polaroid moment when we were there too. No, I'm not referring to the one with you, I and my plus 4 in the photo bomb.

I don’t know why it’s for, but my number one feature request is to use that for rolling down super sleek Bed Tonneau in the tailgate and allow fold down at the front of the bed. I’ll start living in my Beast castle if that happens.
