Is anyone else experiencing the run around for Cybertruck Recall on Wiper and Sail?

Wiper Recall - NHTSA Recall Number 24V-456
Sail applique - NHTSA Recall Number 24V-457

I have sent in 4 appointments now that have been changed due to "PARTS NOT AVAILABLE" and now my recall appointment is in LATE AUGUST.

As many of you know... I have had a WIPER motor issue since pick up in FEBRUARY. this has become the most frustrating part of owning this truck.

Wiper has a mind of its own on youtube

I think you may be giving yourself the runaround. :D :D

If the parts are not available then the parts are not available. ?‍♂
If no safety issue with the wiper then it's probably not worth worrying about with the wiper motor to be replaced in the coming months.

I did ask my svc center and they also said no parts available yet. My wiper and "Sail applique" are fine, so i'm just going to wait until Tesla sends me a notice to schedule my recall fix.

The problem is the parts ARE available. They are just using them in the new trucks. They should not be able to put a wiper motor in a new truck until they have sufficient stock to fix the already paid for trucks.

They are producing roughly 185 trucks per day. This amount of production is not preventing parts from getting to service centers, particularly if this issue is a critical safety issue, which it does not appear to be as I've heard about exactly zero wiper motors failing.

185 per day = 1,295 per week. Great, so they can have enough wiper motors to replace all the recalled ones in about 2 months. If the 1,295 wiper motors that are going in new trucks every week is not delaying the parts for the recall, then what is? Where are all the wiper motors going?

Not dangerous. Ever tried to drive in a downpour with no wiper?

My friend and I both have cybertrucks. His motor stopped working last week. He has an appointment in August to get it fixed. How can he drive in the rain until then?????

Great, all the people getting new trucks are getting the motor that will not fail, meanwhile everyone who ordered day one has the risk of their wiper shutting off in the middle of a downpour.

Again, i highly doubt they can only produce 185 wiper motors per day. Who knows, they may be able to have the supplier produce 50,000 in a day and they are likely are already enroute to svc centers.

Yes wipers that don't work are dangerous but they have not failed except for maybe this one you are talking about. If i am incorrect please link the hundreds others that have failed.

If a wiper motor fails, you open a service req and Tesla expedites one to your local svc center. It's that simple. Worst case, they provide a loaner Model X while the part comes in.

If they weren’t failing there wouldn’t be a recall.

If you have data or a link showing a high rate of failure, please link it. I'm afraid for my life. :D

Otherwise, i'll wait until Tesla alerts me to come in to replace my perfectly working wiper motor.

Now you've heard of two, haha!!

Mine (FS AWD, 113xx) was busted from delivery. It's getting replaced (along with the appliques) this Saturday.

There are a few reported failures here:

My data is the official recall. Are you saying they would recall all of the trucks even though there is no issue with the wiper motor? Or can we agree that they recalled 11k trucks because they see an issue?

I think we agree Tesla is recalling wiper motors because they found a problem, lol.

I think we disagree in the realm of physics and reality, where you think Tesla can make wiper motors appear at service centers out of thin air, and i do not.

They absolutely could if they wanted to. It would mean some lost revenue for them, so they simply don’t want to. They want to do it the cheapest way possible. Can and will are not the same.

lol, negative. We'll have to agree to disagree.

Man you are just wrong. My friends went out last week. They scheduled him for 30 days out. Not rushed part. No loaner. Others have reported the same. You are simply uninformed.
