Two days in a row on the way to the gym at 4am, in fsd, the CT exits the freeway, makes the left turn at the off ramp red light, goes under the underpass and stops at the red light ( for the exiting frwy traffic’s green light) and the CT comes to a complete stop, sees no oncoming traffic and attempts to run my red light. Of course I disengage FSD, wait for my light to turn green to proceed through the intersection, but WTH?!?!? I reported it through the FSD disengaged what happened feature, but makes me scared to continue using. I know, be aware and in control at all times but will this learn or improve?

That's interesting, glad you were paying attention, it's inevitable that it'll get smarter in situations like this. My truck likes to run through late yellow lights all the time, often clipping the red, most of the time I would have definitely chosen to come to a stop pretty smoothly but for some reason FSD decides to just run it.

Your FSD must be learning from my non FSD driving lol. I’m always forcing it to run yellows, here in FL if you stop too quick on them you will be a** ended. If one can get over the first crosswalk before it Reds, no ticket in FL. Yellows mean punch it. Mine. Hasn’t ran a solid red tho but will stop at crooked stop signs not ment for my lane.

Had a similar event in FSD of stopping at a red light, then proceeded to go forward in the path of an 18 wheeler. TORQUE can definitely get you out of the way in a hurry but have lost major confidence. Certainly isn’t ready for PRIME TIME.

Seems like it was treating the light as a stop sign. At least it looked both ways first?

The other day I came upon a stop sign augmented by a flashing red signal. It stopped for the sign, lurched forward 5 feet, and then stopped again for the flashing light lol.

I saw an article where they were comparing a Waymo car and Tesla Model Y in San Francisco recently and despite the Model Y being more capable they gave the nod to Waymo because the Model Y ran a red light. I don't think this behavior is limited to the Cybertruck.

I've noticed that the 'Green' light detector which emits the 'gong' does not/can not/is not aware when you are in a light controlled left turn lane. It gong's when the main traffic lanes turn green yet - the left turn lane light is still red.

This is not an FSD function: however I would assume FSD is somewhat based on the general traffic vision detection algo.

Woah. Maybe it's using training video from my dad. When I was little, he'd tell us kids, "after midnight, and before 5am", you can go thru a red light, after stopping! Not that we were out in the car at those hours very often, but we must have been since he told us!

Your Dad was like my Dad...also, stopping can cause you to spill your beer on your cigarette!...which is not allowed.

Went through red light again today different intersection with big black ICE truck blaring his horn and rolling coal as I narrowly slipped past. Definitely not ready for prime time!

When reporting the disengagement, use tag-words like "urgent", "high priority". Keep training it, and don't give up hope too soon
