I actually saw one of these in the wild here in southern California. I almost couldn't believe it.

It was interesting how easily I could spot it, mainly because the truck bed was open, a rarity around here, haha!!

These are only the RWD trucks that had the base 18 inch wheels. Some people got theirs with the 20 inch core wheels

The head-scratching offering was only available for a few months, and evidently, it did not sell very well, which we all suspected. New recall documents on the vehicle from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) now reveal just how poorly it sold.

The recall deals with a potentially separating wheel stud and potentially impacts 173 Cybertruck units with the 18-inch steel wheels. The Cybertruck RWD was the only trim level to feature these, and the 173 potentially impacted units represent a portion of the population of pickups. Therefore, it’s not the entire number of RWD Cybertruck sold, but it could show how little interest it gathered.

My Brother-in-law has a RWD but opted for cyberwheels. He got a Urander bed rack so the lack of a tonneau cover doesn't mean anything to him. Recently his HV battery went dead, less than a year old.

... analysts can distinguish RWDs by the VIN, as noted above. I believe the best estimates for RWD sales were on the order of a few hundred. Probably the least popular Tesla model of all time.
Looks like the VIN-checkers got it right.
I dont think that many more sold with the $3500 wheel upgrade.
Agree. The RWD total should be more than 173, because some were ordered without the recalled 18-inch wheels. But not much more.

Imagine if only Tesla would deliver on its advertised promise in 2019 when we all put down $100.00
approx 2 million orders at $39,990 on the official Tesla website, i ordered 2 trucks at $39,990
I now have two 2024 FS Cyberbeasts costing $129k and $118k, what a marketing campaign.

I am still waiting on the actual number of Cybertrucks sold in Feb 2026 Dual Motor stripped down with Coil overs. my guess in 10 days, less that 18,000. we shall see
