Haven’t seen anyone cover this, but my seats seem to be developing stretch marks. I have over 5K miles on the truck and am seeing stretch marks on the driver seat. I’m 170 pounds but do tend to lean into the side when exiting the vehicle.

My model S seemed to wear better any thoughts ?

haha I could check if my wife has some left, just didn’t know if others had similar experiences with the seats.

Same here. I had white seats in my previous Model Y which seemed to hide it a bit more. Not sure if there’s anything to restore it.

My CT along with our Model X and Model 3 are doing the same thing. I think it is pretty normal for seats to do this. I have had this happen in other cars as well.

Mine is the same way and i am not a big guy 150lb and i drive twice a month. It looks like a car seat that a 350 lb guy was sliding his butt in and out of the seat for 5 years.

Haha all right fair enough, honestly just looking over everything before my service appointment to fix my slew of items. Gave them a laundry list.

Here is the list:

1. LTE randomly quits.
2. Cruise control slows down randomly on perfectly sunny days.
3. Camera alignment warning randomly appears and disappears (related to the cruise control issue).
4. Tonneau cover works two times before needing realignment/service mode to fix.
5. Warping dashboard.
6. Seat makes a pop/shift noise when turning.
7. Rear top tailgate panel (plastic valence piece) is loose.
8. Driver-side gasket where the tailgate closes and snugs up against the truck/tailgate fell off.
9. Passenger mirror will not fold.

  1. Is it in the same location each time?
  2. Yup, this is normal for the cruise control software from 2018 it's running.
  3. Get that checked
  4. Have you tried WD40 gel lube? Recommended spurts ever few hundred open/closes.
  5. whoa, really? pics pls
  6. That happens to me after eating taco bell....
  7. It's made to be easily removed and replaced as a cheap swap out, so I'm not surprised.
  8. Get that fixed for sure.
  9. I just removed my mirrors, want mine?
Just joshin' with ya, but best of luck to you!

Yes, it's normal for the seat to break in.
