I’ve always wondered how useful this would really be. Sure you get the tailgate lower but then when you get whatever you are loading in to the vault you are then fighting gravity from the extreme angle of the truck. Feels like a “hold my beer, watch this!” kind of activity. I always like the truck level when loading anything, especially anything with wheels. 🤷🏼

Yes, it’s possible but only through the service menu. No secret swipey cheat code.

And you absolutely should not drive your car around like this (which I believe was the point whoever posted it was trying to make).
We're so preoccupied with if we could, we never stopped to think if we should.

I didn't give you Grok's full dissertation on why this was nonsense however, what is this?

Easter eggs check
  • Known mobile-app Easter eggs exist, like the Back to the Future battery trick at exactly 121 miles of range. There is no documented or reproducible ride-height gesture Easter egg.
???!!!!

*Nevermind I researched it on my own I guess this is something that was in the app back beginning as early as 2019 before I got my first Tesla in 2020 that has since been removed sounds like it was pretty cool. Anybody here ever see this?
Knew about it and did it on accident.

So how do you do this?
IIRC, set the SOC to miles, stop with 121 miles of range left, and hit the charge icon. Don’t remember if it was just hitting the charge icon that did it or if it needed to get plugged in. If you notice the app interface, it was a while ago.

EDIT: CT is currently at 98miles of range. Maybe I’ll give it a bit of a charge to 121 miles to see if that Easter egg still works. 🤔

EDIT #2: My Performance is at 121 miles ATM and it doesn’t work anymore. Boo

This would REALLY make loading a motorcycle solo a lot easier. That breakover when the bed is level is a tough one.

The first time I see a CT going down the road in that shitty Carolina squat, I may throw up a little bit. Those trucks that do that - they must have cameras or something to see over the hood...

However, the ability to do so could have some advantages. Especially to people who load motorcycles or ATVs in their CTs.

I have an electric 110 volt Warn winch that I use to winch animal carvasses into the bed. The inclined bed makes it so much easier.
