Hey folks, long time lurker from Michigan, thanks for all the info and discussions on here. Ive been sitting on my invite for a bit now as I am juggling a $5,000 offer for my spot. This would be the most expensive vehicle I have purchased to just taking $5,000 on a $100 investment seems easy but then part of me says “dont do it!” Never had a tesla, nor am I rich or famous. Im the dude man, your Mr. Lebowski kinda guy lol. Thanks in advance!
So my idea from reading the language has been to accept the truck and then rent it to someone for a year with a contract with them to buy it after the first year. Technically I still own the vehicle it's under my name The other person is just an additional driver renting it from me.

Yeah dude, bitchin' idea, but you are like these gnarly rules about selling your RN number. Could be problems for the sucker dude you sell it to.
A friend was moving to Europe and tried to transfer to me his early reservation. Tesla refused the attempt.

So in that scenario, who is responsible for the insurance on it?

I have thought about that too if it was financially worth it. Only way I would do that is to draw up a contract and also put the full funds in an escrow account to be released after transfer of title is complete after the first year. Also would need to have a lawyer figure out what needs to be in the contract to basically absolve you of any responsibility when it comes to the truck.

I’ve had several discussions with my attorneys about this.

I plan to keep my CT, but often wondered if holding a "Win a Cybertruck" drawing would get around the Order Agreement no resale clause? Offer x amount of tickets and buyer purchases all of them?
