I wonder if sentry mode gets smarter with time. I park in a condo amongst other cars. When neighboring cars would come and go in their parking spot and the people would come near my car, id get an event. I no longer get those events.

Or maybe sentry is just being more selective now.

just wondering if anyone knows if something has changed where it knows those aren’t threats and therefore does not waste battery trying to capture those?

I think I read somewhere awhile back that sentry mode was going to be less sensitive to conserve battery.

It for sure does, and my guess would be that it uses the same NN tagging system that FSD has, so as FSD gets better at object detection and prediction, so will Sentry Mode.

I assume it would naturally just use movement detection, but maybe they're switching ofer to AI detection?

I don't think sentry mode has ever been without some sort of Ai detection model.
