Just be sure you want to keep your Cybertruck longterm. Trading in very low milage Cybertrucks that are a year old currently comes with a 35-45% depreciation. On the flip side you might see if you can get a low milage one and save 40 grand while only losing 5000 miles of warranty.

Are you saying it hit a deer while FSD was engaged?
Yes. In very rural Tennessee at night. Deer jumped out of the woods and directly into the path of the car. Were I not on FSD the car would have been going faster. Faster or slower there was NO way it could have been avoided. My wife and I saw it take one step and that was right out of the woods into our pathway.

Gotcha. Yeah, in that situation, there's no way it would've been able to avoid it.

Glad to hear you're okay and the truck is not damaged.

For this purpose, you have to compare used Cybertruck prices to current new prices. The fact that Foundation Series lost 35% is a surprise to no one (due to the FS upcharge that we knew would go away). They are actually holding their value very well compared to ICE trucks purchased the same time in the same price range.

Currently, new Cybertrucks can be had for very little more than one-year-old ones. Almost all the depreciation is due to the fact that new prices are so low. Sellers of used Cybertrucks appear to be holding out for top dollar.

I want to keep this question as simple as possible. I love teslas, I drive a model y daily and love it. I have tested the awd ct and the trip motor cb and loved both. my question is, are the cubertrucks really embedded with all of these problems? or is it luck of the draw on which one you get? thanks.
55 years of driving all types of trucks and CT is the best by far.

I'm not the one you're responding to, but the only reason I could imagine not keeping my beast until it died is if they couldn't retrofit AI5 into it, and AI5 was required for ... whatever magic Tesla will come up with in a year or two.

Got my CT early 2024 and haven’t had one issue. I have 25k miles on it and went to the shop for a frunk alignment issue and that was all. At the price they are selling now, I definitely recommend the purchase. I paid 100k for mine but still don’t regret the purchase at all because of how comfortable the ride is.
Wow, lot of miles there. I purchased my truck in FEB of 24 and only have 9k miles. One day will hopefully enjoy driving more.
