Having owned a Model S Plaid, Model X Plaid, Rivian R1T and Rivian R1S, the Cybertruck is better than all of them! My one wish though would be a "CyberSUV". Basically create a Stainless Steel SUV based on the Cybertruck and make it two feet shorter.

Several reasons this might make sense:

1) In Q2, 2025, Rivian sold 3.5X more R1S than R1T. If this held true with Tesla, that would bring total "Cyber" sales to about 100,000 units.
2) The Cybertruck is criticized for not being a "Real" truck. But given the variety of SUV's (truck-based, car-based, crossovers), it would be a "Real" SUV.
3) It would give Tesla a boxy 3-row SUV that they currently don't have.
4) Would reduce the need for a Model YL in the U.S.
5) If they had a short overhang in the rear and reduced the slope of the roof (making it more square), I think it would actually look better, with better proportions and would not look as "ass heavy".
6) I would buy one tomorrow and sell the Cybertruck because I don't really need a truck and an SUV two feet shorter would fit in my garage and being more maneuverable.
7) The CT, especially Steer-by-wire and 4-wheel steering have RUINED me from all other vehicles! When I get in a non-CT I practically drive off the road when I make a 90 degree turn (i.e. I don't turn the non-CT steering wheel enough).

What do other owners think? Do you think Tesla should add a Cyber SUV, built on a shorter CT chassis?

I disagree there should not be an SUV version of the CT, the Model X should just be more SUV.
1). I don't think this would matter,Higher Cyber Sales would just mean less CT sales.
2) The arguments for not being a "real" truck come from the truck community, the hate for the Cybertruck isn't the same community, a lot of the not a"Real" truck issues are true for the Rivian as well.
3) Tesla doesn't need a boxy 3 row SUV, the Boxy doesn't matter.
4) Better SUV Model X would cover this, A new Cyber SUV, wouldn't be in the same price range of the Model Y, it would be the same price range as the Model X
5) That's an opinion of style, but personally the renders of the Cyber SUV all currently loose something that makes the CT so interesting,I can't pin point what it is, I just don't like any renders I've seen.
6) Again, better Model X
7) Yes, The model X should have steer buy wire, Its shorter than the CT so rear steering isn't needed, I'm not sure what the turning radius of the Model X is, but could add it if it was more than the current CT.

The Model X needs to just have slightly better off road characteristics. The people needing an "Cyber SUV" aren't needing it for off road usage, they want 3 rows. So if the things I love about the Cybertruck vs the Model X, would be to have steer by wire. Everything else About the cyber truck I love already exists in the Model X minus the truck part(Which is a lot of things I love about the CT)

I think a Cybervan platform would be one the best selling vehicles on the planet. SUV type platform would do almost as well too. I think we will eventually see it happen.

I think they will eventually stop selling the X all together. By that time, the metallurgy team will have figured out black stainless, and that will be the ballgame. The X is a nice vehicle, it just isn't mass market worthy.

It doesnt need to be mass market worthy. The Model S isn’t the CT isn’t. The Lamborghini Urus is their best selling car, at 6000 a year. Tesla has premium models and mass market models. We don’t want them to change that.

Short answer, yes. Current drivers are more ready to adopt a new suv than a truck in my opinion.

yeah, I get that. But I think if the X was discontinued in favor of a van or SUV on the CT platform, sales would soar and shadow anything the model x was ever trying to be.

Either way, I think the Model X's days are numbered.

Are modern homes built with small garages? CT is already too short for an 8’ bed.

But i totally agree, make it a three row SUV and it’s a winner. I just wish my CT were bigger all over, I’m 5’9” and i hit my head getting in those tiny doors.

Which is too bad because it’s straight up awesome. Holding on to our newest one till the wheels fall off.

I think they. need to make some kind of larger SUV for all the soccer moms, something along the lines of the Lincoln Navigator or Denali size... A full size SUV would sell like crazy. I know I'd buy one. Doesn't have to be Cyber-ish, in fact due to the stigma, they'd probably be better off not doing that and making it look more like a giant model X or something new all together.

I would like a Tesla van of some sort. Mini van size would work. With sliding doors on the sides. And FSD.

Like yourself, I own a CT and a R1S. When drive my R1S, I miss the CT’s steer by wire. R1S is far superior than the model X, not even close: third row that actually fits adults, power frunk. I actually moved my daughter to college in the R1S! Is that big! Only thing missing is FSD and steer by wire. Needles to say, a CyberSUV would be a game changer and see like hot cakes! Who does want a SUV that’s indestructible and drives like a sport car?! It a dumb move not to make a cyberSUV

I don't understand your point. The Cybertruck is obviously a "real" truck (and it's more of a "real" truck than my F-150). It tows heavier trailers, hauls heavier loads, and it does both of those things without feeling like it's over-loaded (unlike my F-150 at it's lower tow/haul limits). The Cybertruck has more bed volume and a bigger cabin than my F-150 Supercab and it's 6" shorter overall. The Cybertruck has far more ground clearance and can ford deeper flood waters. It comes with bigger tires with much higher weight capacity and the body is tougher and more able to handle rough use. The Cybertruck is definitely a "real" truck.

What would stop the same Tesla/Elon haters from saying a Tesla CyberSUV is not a "real" SUV? 🤷‍♂️

And does anyone really care what the haters think?
