I know you are joking but the whole point of having a dog is to be with them. Having just lost my dog this week I am hurt even by the joke.
Sorry to hear about you losing your dog. They're definitely family to us.

Ok, possibly ridiculous, but hear me out. I would love a 'follow me' mode, where the truck just crawls along behind me as I walk.

Use case: My dog comes with me everywhere, and will continue to do so when I get the truck. It's often the case when I'm also out with my wife, one of us will hop out of the car with the dog a mile or two from our house and walk the dog home (very little traffic near us) so she gets to sniff and check peemail. It'd be fun to be able to hop out with the dog anywhere, and have the truck follow us as we walk along. Maybe put the emergency blinkers on....

Then, like, you could take your truck out for a walk if your dog wasn't up to it.
the Ram revolution is suppose to have this. I preordered the day it was revealed.

So, say this comes to fruition, are we (drivers)going to have to deal with you guys walking your CT’s (in the road )as you are on the side of the road? Or are we going to have to expand the bike lane to accommodate this?

Not to be a downer but I see a lot of potential stupid from this. And to be clear I like the summon feature.

That's what I had in mind, yup. Not that I put a lot of thought into it. But being able to hop out of the truck with my dog down the block from the house and walk home with the truck following along safely would be pretty neat.

Ideally it would pull on to the shoulder to let cars pass, etc, like FSD will/should. As if you were being followed by a big stainless steel robot with awareness of what's around it.

I suppose you could also put the truck on a cyber leash, too. :)
I agree that it was not a silly idea and would be useful for many people in many contexts. It definitely needs to be courteous to other drivers, pedestrians, etc., just like FSD should. But that's the hitch isn't it? When FSD is good enough to drive us while we are 'in' the car, it still won't be good enough to trust when we are 'not' in the car, let alone to follow us and our beloved family members. So whereas I like the idea, I am not going to hold my breath.

There is stupid in everything, and I am not talking about the technology but the bozos that intentionally mess with it for clicks.

Really? Summon will follow you at a walking pace for an extended distance? That's pretty cool, if so!
Summon really isn't working with it's full feature set yet.
But it is intended to be able to call the car from a distance and have it come to you.
