Update on my #60xx vin that has been in service for a couple weeks. They originally were set to replace the rear drive unit but have since updated me saying Tesla engineering wants both drive units swapped. ETA for completion is next Monday the 5th. Not sure how I feel about a complete drivetrain replacement on my new vehicle but happy they might get it figured out.

Thanks for the update. Keep us posted. How many miles do you have on it?

I have 3k miles
Kk. Sorry for the annoying questions these will be the last.
-is the vibrate like 25% into regen at 45mph?
-did you just bring it in for the vibrate?

Both front and rear drive units were swapped out this past week. I picked up the truck today and it's smooth as all my past Teslas now. No regen vibration at all and there is no highway vibration, which I didn't even know I had until I drove it today. I'll post part numbers but needless to say I'm very happy they were able to fix the issue finally.

This is why I love this forum.

It looks like Tesla is getting their arms around the problem. Being an early adopter has its hiccups.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. I'm right behind you and get my truck this month.

I'm glad you got your situation sorted. I started noticing this about a week ago from about 39 - 45 mph and am just now getting around to searching for others with the same issue. I appreciate you updating the post with the resolution.

I would book a service appointment asap. 3 month wait until soonest service appointment for me. Absolutely ridiculous.

I have an appointment to replace my rear glass in about a week. I will talk to my service advisor then. We don't have long waits at my local service center. Sorry that you have such a long wait. Can you try a different service center or do you not have any other options in your area?

Pretty limited in Houston - I booked 1.5 months ago and was suppose to be tomorrow. It’s raining this week and they rescheduled to Oct 17 ?

Same issue here (vibration at ~40 with slight regen) and SC said it’s related to firmware in the front motor and it’s….. within spec.

Same issue. I’ve been both wondering if it is just normal and waiting for a bit to see what others may experience. 9xxx VIN and 3k miles.

New drive units completely stopped the regen vibration issue I was having but they just make a different kind of sound now. Not good or bad just different. Difference is you don't feel the vibration in the pedal or steering wheel, which I could before they swapped the units.
