So I know I wasn't about to get 40m an hour but 2 an hour seems horrifying. I have it plugged into an extension cord into the wall him my garage. Outside of running a 220v into the garage anything else I can do until that can occur?

Your only option is to go to a supercharger.

3-4 miles per hour for a model s/x with a 120 outlet so 2-3 is right for the CT. You gotta have a 220V outlet or EV wall charger at home to make an EV make sense. Unless your willing to live at a super charger all the time.

If you have a 20a tool outlet, you can bump that up a mile an hour at least (5-20). If you have a single-outlet circuit and an extra space on your breaker panel, you might be able to make a 20a 240v with the existing wiring connected differently and get double that (6-20). If you have a dryer outlet or circuit somewhere, you can get a ten gauge extension cord to bring it out there and get to 30a 240v.

There's budget options to get you power, but yeah, a plain outlet isn't alot - especially with the truck's current untamed vampire drain. It's slowly getting better - and 24 hours of 2mi an hour is almost 50 miles of range, so it does add up! And it's probably more like 2.5 or so, too.

You need to get 240v service to get faster charging speeds.

That is the correct number for a 120V 15A outlet. Because of Electric Code, any circuit it derated 80%, That's where the 12A comes from.

On a Model 3 or Model Y it will go up to 5 mph, but the Cybertruck, because of its size is only 2/3 as efficient.

You just want to try to get something with a little more power. It could be 240V 15A, or 120V 20A, but both of those are barely increases.
240V 30A is quite respectable, providing most any charging need overnight. 240V 50A with a NEMA 14-50 adapter (the one that comes with the vehicle) or 240V 60A and one of the Wall Connectors are the most common.

120V 15A can be quite suitable for the cars, just not the Cybertruck.
