I am going to take a long 8 month break and come back at Halloween to see the decorated CT pics and then the other holiday pics.

But it is time for me to take a break as some just are just not nice here to put it nicely.

If you look at my few posts they are all either positive about the CT, a FSD question for any Tesla vehicle, or just why I think CT sales (my opinion only) have not taken off like my last post.

But once I start getting not nice messages I just do not need that at all.

To answer a few questions some have had, or suggested, or even questioned me on, here lets go.

Yes I am just a normal older (66+) guy with a wife of 42+ years now. We live in Central Texas on a small ranch.

We raise a few mini horses and foals and I have shared with some a few pictures to prove it to doubters.

Some have said take a test for a week on a CT. My body is not in super shape but I finally found a friend of a friend locally who had a CT and we did a test on what I need to do for getting supplies (Hay, Grain, Bedding) for the mini's each month.
I can fit up to 6 bales of hay and a few grain bags easily in my Maverick Hybrid and can remove them easily either via the back or just reaching over the sides. This was a big consideration on our new vehicle requirement and we were open to any (ICE, Hybrid, or EV) as our Dodge 1 ton was just to hard to get in and out of and remove supplies as health issues came up.
Anyway we loaded as a test four(4) hay bales and a grain bag in his CT after taking out his spare tire. I could not reach over the sides at all due to the angle and from the back even using a hay hook could only get the close ones. I had to get into the bed and with one bad knee and the other one fair shape that is just to much. So that is why I mention if Tesla or any EV maker did a smaller compact truck we would have seriously considered it. No big issue putting in a level 2 charger at all in the garage. I have no idea why any EV maker does not make a smaller truck version as the demand seems to be there as shown by just even the Hybrid Maverick sales over the last few years.

As I have also mentioned in the few CT specific posts, many things like Steer by wire and the raising up and down really seem like nice features. The sound system was very good and was great in the friends CT. We did take a short ride and it was nice but FSD is not for me. I got High Blood pressure and it just made me nervous. If I was to get any Tesla with the driving I do, FSD would not be used much at all at least for the near future.

But after being called a Pinocchio, Idiot, Troll, Liar, and things I will not mention it is time to take a break.

FYI, for some I have shared a few pics of the mini's and to show you we really do raise some I am attaching a pic or two of Beauty and foals.

Take care and I hope you continue to truly enjoy your CT (S) and keep sentry mode on. Lastly if you are in the greater Austin, TX area and you see a blue Maverick driver wave to you and give a thumbs up that just may be me.....

To Gus I hope to meet you one day and we can look at your DeLorean.

Sincerely,

Jack

Ignore the fan boys. A lot of people paid what was for them too much money on a depreciating asset/liability and it makes them not nice.

I don't mean this in a mean way, but seeing as you don't have or want a CT I've always been confused as to why you come to this forum. You're welcome of course, and I've never viewed you as a troll or disturber. I just found it odd. I have no desire to join a Rav4 owners club, for example, or any other vehicle forum that I don't own or have on my radar for purchase.
I've been a member of MANY forums for cars I don't/haven't owned. Just because I don't have one, doesn't mean I'm not interested in it - or maybe I was curious and asked questions, saw an interesting chat, the forums were syndicated (like these are), etc.

Forums have been around on the internet for decades and there's a million reasons people join them. As long as they're not here to stir the pot and just be a PITA, the more the merrier IMO

Always appreciated your insight. Any chance you're coming back with the $20k discount?
