"Doesn't even try" is very different from "can't." Does it try or not?

That's a false assumption. We don't know if it can or not, we could also surmise that Tesla doesn't want the potential liability for such a useless feature. Do you have children? Have you ever noticed how many things they won't try, but then do just fine when they do?

I have a good friend in the car AI division of a well know GPU maker. A couple weeks ago he spent five hours screaming at a car that got stuck on a stick in a diagonal parking space. Not like a log, but a little stick smaller than a pinky finger and a foot long. Couldn't get around it, hadn't been told that it was ok to run it over.

I got to "hear" his screaming over text messages.

AI is so much smarter than human adults, until it's dumber than a toddler.

Oh yeah, Sam's Club has robotic mops that also do inventory scanning. I will mess with them on every shopping trip if they are out. Sometimes they do a great job of fixing the problem, sometimes they lay down and have a screaming meltdown like a two year old.

I suppose I should make a thread about when my Waymo flipped out because of a crazy homeless dude trying to get in the car? I assume most people here are interested in all self driving and EVs?
