Man, I hope you're joking! I felt extremely lucky with my Model S not to ever have any moonroof leaking. I used it probably 10 times in 9 years. On a piece of glass the size of the glass on the CT, image how strong the motor would have be to move it. I *think* Tesla learned their lesson and that's why you don't see moonroofs on the 3, Y, or CT.
The sunroof on my 2013 Model S is one of the numerous reasons I hang onto it. Those originals were designed as premium vehicles. Such considerations have clearly fallen by the wayside over the years as cheaper and easier to build has increasingly dominated. I still hold a faint hope that a major S/X refresh will restore true flagship character, at least maybe options wise.

While I don't have an explanation as for why, these differences have existed all the way back to early October as I had been watching the ramp up when I purchased mine and had noticed this difference all the way back then. I have the AWD version and mine is definitely colorful in the sunlight when wet. Not sure if it's a trim difference or new process or what....
