In the unlikely event that the wiper blade fails catastrophically, one cannot simply roll up to Autozone for a replacement. When I mail-ordered a new blade from Tesla, I kept the old one as an emergency backup, but couldn't find a place to stash it in the truck.

It won't fit in the Smugger's Bay, and would just bounce around inside the frunk. My solution was to strap it down underneath the rear seats:

Those are Velcro straps, snug enough to keep it secure, but not so tight that the blade will be deformed by the seat rails.

Even with the seats up, it is barely visible:

I could probably obscure it completely by protecting the blade from the seat rail, but this was the limit of my engineering for the day lol

UPDATE: you can't lower the seats :ROFLMAO:

Mine sits in the box inside by the entry of my house.. turns out it makes a great conversation piece... people ask, " What's inside the box, your truck's wiper blade? As a matter of fact it is 😂

I am so frustrated with the phantom swipes and, in general, the BAW is the worst part of the truck. It is almost unusable unless in a hard rain.

Does it not fit in the frunk? I figured I could strap it to the molle racks in the frunk or the tie down cargo net system in the frunk. Under the seats I have the storage bin in back so it will easily go there. Just a thought....

How about sticking it into a length of PEX or similar?

Not only is friction and pressure an enemy of plastics, so is air transfer and light.

PS: Why not strap it to the inside of the frunk lid or the rear bulkhead, either with the rear seats or in the vault?

My phantom wipes with my BAW makes a sound that sounds like glass being scraped by a diamond ring when it is dry. Does this mean I have to replace it? other than that it works fine. but annoying.

Yep, inside a tube would probably do it. I was thinking smaller, like having a brace at the pressure points to distribute the load.

The frunk lid would work, if you had molle panels it would be simple. I didn't try fitment but it would probably fit due to the BAW curve.

There really is no "rear bulkhead" to speak of, the seats are bolted to it. I'd stash it in the vault if I already had a storage solution back there.

I guess I could always use the dash, plenty of room there lol
