I would expect it to be heat curing, not oxidization curing.


It's next to the motor, not the battery. But if you were preconditioning the pack, the motor is used as a battery heater.

What are you guys doing opening it and sticking your head in there for a hour ? There is no smell in my bed with the vault closed but yes there is a smell in the cargo bin but how long are you really sitting there with it open ? Open it up grab your sht close it. You will survive. I have my golf shoes in there so it seems to help ?

lol we not sticking our heads in there trying to get high on resin fumes .It just a strong resin smell emanating from there . I kept my winter gloves and head gear and charger in there .They smell like fresh resin now .

if your golf shoes equalizes the resin smell then I understand why you keep your golf shoes in there And not in your house .lol.

?. Mine smelt pretty strong at the beginning but not really anymore, I mean it will never go away just not like eye watering. I left it open for a bit then stored some my power and cordless tools in there and golf shoes ?

I got rid of that smell the weekend after I got it, not on purpose, but very easy. Put 1 vault divider in, fill the large side with 60 beers then top with ice. Use the dry side as your trash can. Smells like beautiful day old beer now non-stop. Mainly because it's used for that purpose a lot. Sticky this tip.
