Got my truck last week, haven’t really looked at the tail lights until tonight when I walked past it. My right tail light isn’t fogged. I can see all the LEDs. Is this the way both lights are supposed to look or is something not quite right.
Right side and left side lights. So what one is not right?

Definitely not supposed to see those LED lights. Put in a service ticket through your app and Tesla will replace the tail light

I’m confused — how about a photo that shows the entire back of the truck?
Tried to take a photo like that but it just blurred all the lights together.

It seems to just be missing a diffuser that should be over the LEDs.

Every time I try it blacks out the tail lights. Guess my camera doesn’t like the day time lights?

Tesla has never been known for QC. Definitely a defective lighting module from the supplier.

Well, on a QC note for Tesla, we own 2... 2023 Model YLR and now brand new FS CT...

NEITHER had ANY QC problems actually... We did a THOROUGH inspection of he CT last Sunday (over an hour!) and the ONLY thing we have an issue with is the edge of the right-rear side panel is a little 'sharp'... meaning if I run my finger along it, when I get about half way it has a sharp edge to it for about 10 inches... Not REAL bad, but someone COULD cut their finger on it...

We did 'report' it and did a service order for it and it will likely be fixed with some emery cloth...

Other than that (and that it still hasn't downloaded the latest software version, so no FSD yet), all panels are tight, gaps are fine and even, no scratches or dents, all lights work fine, tires are good (even new wheel covers - boy are they hard to take off which can be a GOOD thing!).

We used two different 'checklists' (thanks TESBROS and Everyday Chris(paid for it!) for these!) and they were VERY detailed and easy to use.

I was actually SURPRISED to NOT find any issues really... Especially after seeing/hearing all the supposed complaints posted all over the place saying things are straight, loose nuts/bolts, rattles, rust spots and all the rest... we had NONE! Not a single one!

Both my wife and I have owned trucks before as well as other brands and models of cars and we both agree that OUR Tesla's are pretty awesome when it comes to build quality right from the factory!

It was kind of funny, but when I picked up my model Y, I thought the rear window had a crack from something... It looked like a 'starred' one you get from small rocks or something... BUT, it turned out to be a SPIDER WEB!! So stuck on there that you could 'feel' it... but came right off with some window cleaner!

Wish we could say the same for our last 2 cars... They actually did have some small issues (and the GM Van we bought the hood wasn't aligned - tight on one side larger gap on the other), but got them fixed quickly too.
