Had my Cantrail replaced (unfortunately need to wrap it again) added the extra slate after 3 different SC caused the tonneau to revert back to being misaligned. I tried to get the Gen 2 wireless charger but they didn’t have the part and noted “working within spec and heat of phone tend to happen” sigh….

Anyone in the DFW area, use the Lexington SC. Those dudes are on point. Avoid Cedar Springs like the plague.
Also avoid Fort Worth, it's a lovely new facility, but the service truly, truly sucks. Everything the truck has gone in for, it's come out worse. All the trim around the vault (sail & tailgate lip) are super loose now, but they refuse to make it right, they just want to charge me $608 to replace them all again. It's due to go in (third attempt) to fix charging errors, but they messaged me an hour before the last visit and said no loaners and no Uber credits available, so re-book if I want those. I did (5 weeks later, of course), so we'll see if it makes it in next time.

The variability in Service centers seems to be getting worse.

When I opened a service ticket, they automatically added all the recall items. I removed the cantrails, wiper motor, and flex guides because I lean towards "ain't broke don't fix" camp.
This.

I'm going in tomorrow for the spare tire kit. They tried to add the cantrail fix and I asked to have that removed The appointment for now.

I was able to simply delete service items from the appointment in the app 🤷‍♂️

I’ve been to Cedar Springs, Democracy and Lexington and if you can make a bit of a drive Lexington is the way to go. Probably has something to do with them being new so they’re not all hating life yet lol. There’s a new one in Flower Mound, that should be closer to you and might be good, but I haven’t been there.

I have to agree on the Fort Worth service center. They have damaged something in my vehicle 4 different times while doing some other service.

I had a service appointment last week, status of items:
- cant rail - parts not available (despite appointment scheduled a month earlier), being released in batches by VIN. No ETA despite what the recall letter said.
- extra slat in tonneau - added and fixed! no water ingress during our last downpour in NJ. Previously it leaked quite badly at the top of the roof.
- cooled seats not cooling - "functioning as intended", which is they still don't work. I told them to compare to a Model S, X or anything else. They checked another Cybertruck and said they were the same.
- requested tire rotation, per service schedule - was not performed as it was deemed "not needed". What?

Good luck with getting a new cant rail. I also had to fight them to the spare tire I had already paid for. Had to dig up and message a screenshot, at their request, of the invoice. Don't they have this in the system? Crazy.
I was told by Tesla techs the seats draw in air, not blow air. That’s why you (and me) thought they didn’t work. On a very hot day, getting in the truck after sweating, I can feel the coolness of the seats. Different technology than other cooled seats. BTW, they charged me for the service… 😒

Just an update on my end, had to take my Model 3 in like a week after my cancelled CT appointment, talked with the service techs there and they said cantrail fix was now in so I have an 8/14 appointment for the gen 5 wireless charger (which they ordered) and a real cantrail recall mediation. Looks like its the following parts:

Why only 1-2 weeks made all the difference from "sorry can't help you" to "yup we'll address each of your concerns" I don't know.

They need to scrap how they did these things and try again. Looks like trash.

Weld a stud to the panel - get a big ol' impression on the metal.
Can't seem to create these things without a 1-2mm gap.
Waves up and down all the metal.

This panel isn't going to war lol.

Were they able to resolve this for you. I'm hearing the same thing that it's "within spec" and they all should have it, however I didn't have one on the other side but since I took it in to have them realign it, now they are telling me it's on both sides.

They are going to reschedule me to come in a swap cantrails again but it’s taking a bit longer suspect due to all the rest of these issues maybe they are looking into it. The weld dimple thing is the way it is now. The alignment I am told needs to be re-done or replaced.

They've just replaced mine again, will report back tomorrow when I go pick it up. So far, nothing is ever better after a visit to the SC for trim replacement, so I have low expectations, although the first replacement was well aligned, it was the sail and tailgate trims they f'd up.

Here you go. It is the new cant rails with the fixing stud (not particularly visible unless you're looking for it), and, as always this is a 'within spec' installation. It's due a re-wrap, so hopefully won't look as bad once everything matches.
