If the building has "Tesla" on the outside do not expect the standard car dealer experience.
In a lot of ways this is a good thing, no dealer markup just done by the mfg, and no high pressure sales tactics. The bad news is good luck getting someone to return a call or give you an answer.

I could call my Porsche dealer at 9pm on a Sunday and they would pick up or get back to me in 15mins. I can put in a ticket or text request with Tesla and maybe get a copy/paste response a week later. That said Tesla doesn't bug me to buy the latest car like Porsche does.

You can always reject the delivery and request for a new VIN.

I took a month from my first scheduled delivery date until I actually got delivery. I was told it failed inspection but not why even those I asked. Next, I was told they were waiting on a couple of parts delivery when I went to the local service center.

At delivery, I was told it didn’t fail inspection but was awaiting a firmware activation code. As you can see, internal Tesla communication are poor and I got at least a couple of reasons for the delay. Fortunately, I‘ve had it for a few days and it is great to drive no problems so far.
