For sure. The obscurity of the reference is not lost on me. I was a bit of a comic nerd at one time in my life. Bet you almost fell out of your seat at the beginning of guardians 2.

Maybe it’s the same guy who was responsible for the window demo at the Cybertruck unveil processing the trade-in requests? Surprised they haven’t fired him yet.
Yes, Guardians 2 really spoke to me as I was just discovering Tesla at that time (2017). It was quite fitting that a Tesla equated to an inter-dimensional being that feeds on batteries. I’ve had the license plate ever since. Still love it.

It’s an amazingly cool reference. I admit to being jealous when I saw the plate and username the first time.

Also learned that when you transfer customized tags from car to car the cops can no longer find your insurance policy on the spot because it comes up as “multiple” in their system. I might have been stopped like 5-6 times since getting the Beast. My theory is they just wanna check it out. No tickets, so that tracks lol

There is definitely no anonymity with one of these plates. Everyone here in Scottsdale knows the bluey truck with the OHBSCTS plate. The wrap is fairly distinct too. There is no saying, “nope, wasn’t me you saw parked out there”
For the most part thats a good thing. The Tesla SC people greet me by first name and I’ve been told, argue over who gets to work on it, and I’ve actually gotten invitations to kids birthday parties that my children don’t even know. lol.
Three different churches and a synagogue have already called me personally this year to make sure the truck will be participating in the trunk or treat.
that said, I do worry about some psycho following me and/or my kids home.
think most of that is over now though.

Crazy that the hype has lasted this long. This really is a special vehicle. It’s finally slowly dying out so we can enjoy our trucks without the spotlight, but it’s still not quite there yet.

That’s okay, I guess, as long as we get there soon. I didn’t even splurge for the FS but still feel like a full time tour guide when I’m out and about.

I’m pretty sure they’re called “harbulary batteries”

Apparently, it's now being reported as a bug. Sorry.

Makes me think my foundation is going to be something special in the future..
Yeah, it already already is something special. It's just a matter of whether you know it or not.

This just means you could sell it for a few thousand more than last month, the truck itself hasn't changed!

If true, why would Tesla do this? Makes me think my foundation is going to be something special in the future..
Grok: Are Foundation Series CyberBeasts Rare?

Yes, they’re pretty rare! Here’s why, in kid-friendly terms:
  • Not Many Made: Tesla probably made around 850 to 1,400 Foundation Series CyberBeasts out of about 25,000 total Foundation Series Cybertrucks. That’s like only a few handfuls of special-edition candy bars in a giant candy store. Compared to regular Cybertrucks (hundreds of thousands might be made eventually), these are super limited.

  • Special Stuff: They have unique laser-etched badges (like a cool sticker that says “Foundation Series”), a three-headed beast logo, and extras like a light bar, all-weather liners, and free self-driving software. Only early buyers who reserved years ago could get them, and Tesla stopped making them around October 2024.

  • Numbers Game: If there’s only 1,000 or so CyberBeasts, that’s way fewer than, say, a rare sports car (like 7,000 Porsche 911 GT3s) or even other Teslas (millions of Model 3s). In the car world, “rare” often means under 5,000 units, so these fit the bill.

I am emotionally attached to my EGO!! I love her, she loves me and I have added way too much stuff to trade it in. Plus I have heard beasts have some weird issues with noise off road? anyway, wish you all luck.
