Tesla "On the Road Vessel "

I ordered the "Vessel" bottle and when it arrived I noticed that the cap has something loose in it when I shake it. It sound just like a can of spray paint when you have to shake well to mix it up. So....I returned it and got a second one. And......this one has something loose in the cap too. Same sound. LOL. Is this normal and I was just not aware of it? Why the need for something to be rattling around inside? Thanks.

I have those as well, are you sure you pushed in on the top cover? It snaps in place to seal the vessel from spills, when you push it again the seal opens for pouring or sipping.

When the seal is open, if you shake it, it does sound almost like a loose piece but its actually the entire top hitting edges of the vessel as its not pressed down to seal properly.

Edit: I realized this is the ‘on the road vessel’ not the tumbler as I had ordered all of them, including the cups as well. The Tumbler definitely has the press down to seal, press down to unseal. The vessel is just a screw on lid.. went to check if mine has a rattle sound and it doesn’t.

Take the screw on lid from the vessel and shake to see if its just inside the plastic insert inside the lid or if it’s actually inside the vessel container itself and let me know.

I also have the Earth Day Vessel (blue with the owl inscribed) and it also does not rattle either with or without the screw on lid attached.

I use the tumbler one mainly for hot coffee as you can press sip coffee and press again after you set it into the cup holder to deal and maintain the heat longer And you aren’t fooling around with a screw on lid which I think is more for soup or other beverage to use for cooking etc and not as much as for sipping a cold or hot drink from like the vessels or cups.

If you have an unruly toddler in back, just toss him that rattle. It will keep him entertained for at least 5 minutes.
