Yes, every single human artistic expression should be protected from wholesale computational generative decimation.I don't know how else to express this: Elon Musk is definitely aware of the impending copyright storm surrounding Ai generated content; he's talked about it quite a bit.
Trouble is, we will need to turn the entire human works world upside down if we determine that Ai cannot use prior works as inspiration for generating new content.
That would mean virtually every single human artistic expression is now open for lawsuit, since absolutely zero person on this earth can, with a straight face, say that they used zero inspiration for their creative work.
Inspiration for a human product should not be applied for computational aggregation.
It's a case of licensing and approval. That isn't a hard thing to do if you want to do something.
Case in point this lawsuit, they wanted to do it got told no and said fuck it anyways.
It's about consent.
