Need that eye roll emoji in this forum badly.

Here’s one of the early betas swallowing a bunch of 35” tires.

This one only has one 35” tire, but in spite of the angle looking down at the truck, you can barely see the top of it. Pretty clearly the depth of the vault is the same or deeper than in the earlier model.

I have No Clue what the vaults dimensions are in the final. Mostly because I’m not daft enough to think I can do some hand-waving and come to any kind of conclusion that has any real validity other than satisfying my own preconceived notions/ fears/ hopes.

Literally: If you want the truck’s dimensions to be something, you can make a case for it based on the evidence at hand.

If folks have managed to satisfy their own desires via hand waving… nice for you. But don’t expect others to buy into your hand waving as if it’s fact.
That tire is not in the bed, is the tire from the xtreme crane

guess the width of those 4 tires, we have good reason to know to be 285’s?

46”

Guess why they might be standing upright, by themselves, away from the bed rails?

that’s the crane’s tire

which you exactly do, every day, including in this post

the difference is you decide to at moments be hypocritical about it, and act like when others do it they are somehow astray of your better judgment

you also don’t have official, final, data on anything - which means can we all just realize that’s a constant, rather that pulling it out only when convenient?

again - that’s a constant between any marginal differences of view we have

in the main, I think we agree on most things

This discussion has popped up almost every single time a new prototype or even new angles of existing prototypes pop up.

Every single time there are people who claim by looking at the height of xyz next to the truck and abc under the tire that they have “proven” the truck is the size they fear/hope it is.

Go back and look at this exact conversation when the 2 prototype trucks arrived. And again when there were shots at Castle AF base.

Same conversation, just different photo. Each time people claim they’ve proved it. Each time, later on something demonstrates they are full of crap.

“This time it’s different”.

I’m sure. :D

The goal the of truck was to compete head on with the Ford F-150. It’s a huge vehicle segment that Tesla wants to tap into. The Cybertruck will probably end up being the cash cow for the Tesla once mass production kicks in.

It’s all speculation at this point. Tesla should be revealing specs
and pricing within the next 4-6 months.
🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

I have not claimed anything about the truck size.

I’ve said your (and others) hand waving isn’t convincing. Truck could be smaller. I just haven’t seen anything that convinces me of that.

you’ve done so in literally every single post you’ve made in this thread

It is definitely a lot wider than my Model Y.
Very similar size to an F150 console from what I can tell.
Don’t worry.

It’s still within a couple inches in every direction of the OG.
and it’s not something unique to this thread

which is fine - it’s the sort of thing that leads me to believe it’s a conversation

I agree with you 100%, it does look even better from the shot below at least.

BTW I love the windscreen wiper, not a popular opinion I know, but I do.

Because truly the stress is killing you (not really, well maybe a little) and in the end it won't change a thing. It is what it is and we will most likely love it.

https://tireconverter.com/315-60r20-in-inches

34.9 tall by 12.4 wide would indicate that the bed is in the 79.8"x49.6" range

The variables we don't have is whether the tire manufacturer measured the sidewall bulge as part of the tread width or the actual tread width, I have seen it go both ways. Or if they had to squish the tires to get the tailgate closed. Or if they have a little bit of room between.

We should find out for sure as far as the size in the next 3-6 months when more accurate information comes out.
