My best guess on when Foundation Series ends, and it is just a guess, is at the end of 2024. Dec 31, 2024.

Why?

That's when you'll see the first set of buyers have their one-year resale clauses lapse. Tesla, being Tesla, would then release the $80K and $100K models to make sure there isn't a vibrant flipping market for the first off-resale 2024's in early 2025 as more supply at lower prices will kneecap flips.

All will rejoice.

Then sometime after that "Early Delivery for Shareholders" might begin....

To me the real stab in the back is that Autopilot, FSD and locking differentials are still unavailable. FS buyers are paying a $20k premium upfront. No other auto manufacturer other than Tesla can get away with this.

It's time for Tesla to do the right thing for its Foundation owners and those of us been waiting 4 plus years, STOP the Foundation Series, those who paid the premium for the Foundation should be rewarded with a truly limited and rare CT, and those of us waiting 4.5 years and need to have a sub 80k option should be able to take delivery. The CT shown here in Sarasota is NOT a foundation series, so they are even making them already, just STOP and make the Foundation Series rare and let the rest of us experience the CT.
I received a notice that my cybertruck is almost ready for delivery. I called (second time) to say that I don't want the Foundation series truck. I want the dual motor truck with the extended battery. I was told back in January I would be able to do this and put $1000 down to hold the reservation. Today, Tesla rep says I must take the Foundation truck or cancel my order. I can reorder and go the the very end of the line. I've waited 4 years for this truck and now I can't get the one I want? WTFO!

Hey everyone, first post ever here so thank you for having me.

As a day 2 reservation holder, it’s been a very long 4.5 years. A few interesting sites offered delivery estimates based on RN and I was consistently told “October 2024” which would’ve made a great 40th birthday gift. Then I got the invite. $20k more than I wanted to spend. 7 months earlier than expected. Being told by a Tesla rep “this is your reservation. This is your spot in line” coupled with my excitement to finally be at this moment and I caved. No regrets but I could’ve waited until October or longer had it not been for the invite. Now I can’t help but check for a VIN every hour.

I absolutely agree with dropping the FS. To force those of us who immediately supported the CT to buy now and buy big is not a fun way to reward or celebrate finally making it to this point. Let us choose our options like anyone else would be able to a year from now. Sure, slap the FS badging on it but that’s it.

For Sarasota, was the truck wrapped? The one in Irvine, CA is wrapped and the badging is covered but it’s a FS.

$20K price premium has me waiting. Thing is, that while I"m waiting, I'm also looking at the Ford Lightning and Chevy Silverado EV trucks. I just read that there will be a Chevy Silverado EV Truck later this year that will have a 20,000 pound tow rating. That significant additional towing capacity combined with the significant added range has me thinking, since those are important to me.
It's not really a $20k premium. You get FSD +$4,000 worth of install and a $450 wall connector.. That's $16,450 right there. Then, there's the actual hardware for the home kit (I'll call it $550 because I don't know the price), plus premium connectivity for life (I'll say $500 here but it's a lot more if we go out years and years)

I suppose you could call it a $2,500 premium plus $17,500 worth of stuff you may or may not want.

You have to pay to play

Tesla is doing what they’ve always done, wish the legacies would do the same.

All the FS is about is alcantara, white interior, dog decals, FS decals and software update all for a cool $20k ?

I hope it continues. Want to buy another one. Foundation. I asked. I am sure they will say no, but I want to be right at the front of the line for next one. Societal contribution I would call it. Over paying when one could wait, but for a good thing.

When driving around in my FSCT and seeing the reactions on people’s faces makes me think Tesla has a gold mine or maybe the ability to print money. If Tesla had independent dealerships, they would be marking up the truck way more than $20k. Tesla could end the FS now, set the standard AWD model to $100k and still sell everything they can make for several years. All this CT demand is happening when interest rates are high, and EV sales are softening. Sorry u aren’t getting your new $80k truck right now. The bad news is you won’t EVER get your $80k CT. ?

Not sure if anyone had this but they’re not doing anything for me with PowerShare so they’re giving me a $700 Tesla Store voucher.

I like it, but I'm still getting used to it. It is a little different to drive, so I'm being super cautious. I wouldn't say it is fun yet!

Resale value is already gone, aftermarket went crazy and burned out fast when Tesla didn't do anything about the reselling.
Actually, we don't know that.

We know Tesla caught some and canceled their orders or banned them from their accounts.
