So i took my cybertruck in for a tire rotation im currently just under 29k miles and they are "suggesting" i look at getting replacements as they are worn.

Has anyone had any experience with this? Less than 30k miles on new tires seems horrible and they did not last nearly as long as they should.

Will tesla do anything to compensate for the lack of quality within the tire?

Tesla? No, they specifically exclude wear items from warranty.

The tire manufacturer on the other hand does have a treadlife warranty that they should honor by pro-rating your replacements. Or they may have some sort of rebate too; idk.

Manual suggests rotating every 6500 miles I believe. That makes you a solid 4 rotates behind schedule. Depending which model you bought, cyberbeast for me pulls majority on the front tires. I too did not rotate mine untill 20k miles, what I discovered is my fronts was down the the ware bars (needs replaced) and the rear was brand new ish. I’m now at 29k miles and sure I’ll need a fresh set of rubber at 40k.

No tesla will not compensate for any consumable items. That’s like asking ford to refill your gas tank becuase you only got 200 miles out of your new car

This was not my first rotation at all. Just my next one.

That analogy was completely wrong. Gas vs tire wear.....

But I understand your perspective.

I will attempt to contact the tire manufacturer that might be a good plan.

The fronts on my CyberBeast were gone before 10k miles…backs look to be at least 60% remaining. I took the truck in to have the tires rotated at 9k miles and Tesla recommended replacing them at that time.

Dang. That is just wild to me that this is the quality we should be ok with.

The tires on my Model Y had to be replaced around 25,000. I will be happy if I get that many on the Cybertruck (at 18,000 right now). I do not recall doing any better than around 30,000 on any OEM tire on a new vehicle but I must also admit that I haven't been recording that information over the last 40 years of new vehicles.

EVs and their instant torque eat tires up pretty quick. Chill mode would help somewhat, but that’s just no fun.

I do not use the acceleration available except in emergency situations so I would expect mileage to be closer to an ICE vehicle. I’d be interested in seeing more scientific analysis of OEM tire wear on trucks of similar size and weight.

I wouldn't be so quick to claim that the tire tread isn't performing well under standard conditions. How many launches have you performed?

Most people who drive this truck rightfully drive aggressively; so your tire life will suffer as a result. I'm betting more than half of the owners are willing to replace tires more often just from the entertainment value alone.

I just had mine if (April 2024 delivery) and they are recommending I replace my tires which have just under 14k miles on them LOL

REALLY need them to offer the All Terrains in the Shop so I can use my $2500 Powerwall credit towards new ties. I do drive like an absolute knob, though so I deserve this.
