Tonneau/tailgate buttons on exterior stopped working

I was parked for a double shift at the fire house. We had a HUGE downpour and now the exterior buttons don’t work. Anyone experience this? First downpour owning the truck and they short circuited ??‍??

They'll dry out and start working, again.

Happened all the time until I had them replaced.

Ah, unfortunately Oregon won’t dry out until June haha. I have a service appointment in 2 weeks, hopefully they change it out so it works

Oregon shouldn't ever dry out unless you're east of the cascades!

But it's a known random failure point. Most don't see it happen, but... Make sure you put in a ticket with Tesla and get them to fix it!

I remember hearing about this issue during the early wave of releases.

IIRC, Tesla revised the part and now it stays dry.

I had this happen only once after a heavy rain. I didn't realize they made a new part, I should bring it in!

I grew up there! ^-^ My family moved there when I was like 1 years old and I didn't move back to California until I was an adult looking for work.
