This is just 100% false. Troll much?
Sorry you don't like the truth, but I've traded in 3 vehicles to Tesla. I know what Tesla credited me for each vehicle and what each vehicle was selling for at the time on the used market. The last was my 2017 Model S 100D. I know how much Tesla credited me and exactly how much the car sold for to the new owner. No trolling, just factual reporting.

It's not facts, though, if your last data point was 2017.

I've traded 6. The last was a few weeks ago, we got above market for my wife's early (#436) Model Y for her new Y. It was surprisingly high.

I'm not denying they can get below market a bit but to claim it's 40% just isn't true.

You're talking about fair market value right? Not what you paid vs what you got? With price adjustments, I can see how you can get to 40%. But for fair market value, they are usually average. For example, when I traded my 1st gen S Plaid for the 2nd gen I took a nice hit, probably 25-30%. But as far as Model S market value, it was about right.
Wrong. The car was a 2017, sold 2.5 months ago. I define fair market value as the going rate for a used car in whatever condition the car happens to be in and with whatever mileage happen to be on the car. In other words, the average price someone is currently paying for that particular vehicle. In the case of my 2017 S, the fair market value was a hair under $25,000. The new owner paid $24K. Tesla credited me $9,500. That comes out to 39.58%.

Sorry, still not true. You can't claim that *ALL* Tesla trade offers are 40% below market based on just 1 data point. I have 6 and they were all fair market value +/- 10%.

Now you're trolling. I told you I had 3 data points. 42% was the highest of the 3 data points.

I'm not saying 40% below FMV either. I'm saying 60% below. Tesla pays between 39 and 42% of FMB 100% of the time in my experience consisting of 3 data points. !00% fact and true information you cannot disprove.

You can't troll someone who's trolling. I'm responding to your sensational feelings != facts claim that all Tesla trade offers are 40% below market.

Regardless of your data points, it simply isn't true that "All Tesla trade offers are 40% below market".

The facts aside that most of them are fair market value, if only 1 is fair market value I still win. BOOM! Lawyered!

No, just no.

Well, guess I can't say that about your experience, but in mine it's not the case.

Still, 1 fair market value offer disproves your claim that "All Tesla trade offers are 40% below fair market value".

Still lawyered.

Where did I say "all Tesla Trade offers" are 40% below FMV?

Post number 10 where you said "Tesla offers roughly 40% of fair market value."

I guess now we're going to debate what "roughly" means    ... I didn't have sexual relations with that woman!

And my data proves that Tesla offers roughly 40% of FMV. I have 3 data points proving it. You may have data points that prove Tesla doesn't always lowball that much, but they most certainly do offer 40% of FMV at least part of the time (100% of the time in my case).

If you have data points showing that Tesla's wholesale prices are within 10% of FMV prices, I'd love to see them. Wholesale and Resale values are never within 10% of eachother in my experience.

Your data only proves they offered you 40% fair market value. However, your statement indicated they offer everybody roughly 40% fair market value, which just isn't true.

Where's your data that proves everybody gets roughly 40% fair market value? I haven't. I've been +/- 10% over 6 trades.

Pointless debate, since neither of us can possibly know the real numbers for all Tesla trade offers.

My response was to your wholesale claim that simply isn't true and it's misleading to people who have no experience with Tesla.
