Transparent satin / matte wrap?

Hey there, wondering if anyone has become annoyed enough by fingerprints but still digging the natural look to the point that they put on a transparent satin or matte wrap? I know it feels excessive….

after a few months, fingerprints stop happening because the truck has lost the factory oil sheen and has a complete oxidation layer. Although, they may return if you continually rub oxalic acid on it

A year in, no finger prints, just steel hand washed with mild dish soap and dried with towels.

One of my buddies got a clear satin wrap- I happen to park next to him and loved it. After I picked mine up in early December I got the exact same clear satin from the same shop here in Indianapolis. (Shout out to Pristine Auto Spa). Looks awesome- basically bone stock look without any of the negatives- no finger prints- dirt and water largely bead off. I’ve run it through standard local car wash at least 5-10x no problems - no spotting no peeling. It’s pricey but worth it IMO.

Never noticed fingerprints. My truck got covered in road salt about a week after I got it, and we were below freezing for most of January. I'm thinking by the time I get to wash it, that new truck fingerprint thing won't be a thing.

Love to hear folks have had luck w/o getting lots of fingerprints - maybe I’ll blame my kids (but in reality the most nasty door is the driver’s door lol). I’ve had the truck over a year and mine looks pretty rough most of the time - although I’ll admit I stopped using windex and spray-away after a couple months when i just embraced the filth Unfortunately other folks in the house aren’t as accepting of the look as I am, so I’m thinking about this wrap move….

We have our Matte clear kit on our Cybertruck and I love that it looks almost stock but has a dull to it, I like it best next is gloss black

I wrapped mine and absolutely love it. Expel satin PPF. I can’t stand any finger prints and now zero and you can actually wax it so no more water spots when washing it.

i assume prep is super important for the clear wrap.. the stainless typically has a yellowish hue unless you do BKF or some other treatment to get it back to a nice bright steel look

Passivate your truck and let that nice chromium layer do its magic. Fingerprints are of no issue!
