It is kind of sad to see the consolidation and the lack of choice. I don't see DeLorian making it, even as a boutique car. Everything in the future is going to look pretty much the same. There is only so much you can do to customize a skateboard. The EV retromod market might fair well by keeping some cool cars on the road as converts.

Hopefully at some point EV skateboards become so cheap that there's heaps of body and interior manufacturers that do completely custom tops for them.

I would love to see Tesla crank out skateboards GP front/ rear and structural packs for third party makers.

Only problem is all of the 3rd party cars I think are interesting at 3 wheelers and Tesla wouldn’t make those.

I would love to have a classic body on an EV chassis.

1970 Connie Mark III comes to mind.
They were heavy and powerful and road like they were on rails.
Put that body on a Tesla Model S Plaid platform and you would have a true "Hot Rod Lincoln".
