We offer the kit with a USB-C cable, you dont have to use the OBD port power.

Other than being made in China, is there a risk in using the OBD to get power to MagBak phone mount?

This is the one I'm contemplating, attaching to MagBak mounts one on left and one on right of monitor. Haven't hooked them up yet, not sure if I'm introducing a risk to power coming from OBD port?

I have the same issue but don't know if there is a way of turning it off. I'm thinking about cutting out a black vinyl ring to cover the light but have not gotten around to doing it yet.

Did you ever get the light to turn off or covered it up? How do you like the mount so far? I’m considering ordering one and was just curious.

I've had mine for almost two weeks, it looks super clean with no wires showing and install was a cinch, they got a good video. My ideal spot was to be left of the center screen, but most other chargers/holders would use adhesive, which I didn't want to do. This is bolted and ain't going anywhere, holds my Fold 6 like a champ. Allegedly, no FSD warnings when looking in that direction.

I haven’t gotten around to making it yet. I’m glad you reminded me. I’ll see if I can find some time next week.

Anyone experience a slight rattle coming from the area this was installed? Im hearing something that sounds like metal on metal or plastic rattle from the area

Never heard of an issue like this, but some suggestions to check:
1. Mounting bolts tight?
2. Trim not popped back in?
3. MagSafe not tight?
